Thoughts on the new Arachnophobia Mode in the war within?

Depends on how they are cooked.

Individuals that align themselves with the void are to remain silent.
You will be dealt with in due time.

Better now?

Gnomish hair is a delicacy for us dwarves

They make the best soul candy, and they are super easy to catch. Just put down the soul well and kick em in it once they start reaching in.

I heard gnome meat has a delightful aftertaste and in some cultures it is said to have magical healing properties. Consuming it grants temporary bursts of good luck

Nooo! Get those tendrils away from me!!

DEMON! DEMON!!!

I’m not surprised to find draenei eating other sentient races.
Time to break out the flamethrowers, I suppose…

Tah, we all know you love to be desired. Remember that you are always welcome on our table.

Yes that is a good way to cook gnomes.

I think it’s nice to have it built into the game rather than having to rely on outside sources - I’m sure someone somewhere has made a mod to do exactly that.

Am I going to use it? No (though I may have to try to turn it on just to see all the crabs), but neither the spiders nor the arachnophobia mode can hurt me

So cute

I’ve often wondered why dogs get so scared of going to a vet. There are a bazillion videos out there that show them feeling scared, shaking and looking wide-eyed at the direction where the vet would be. I’m certain it’s a similar thing to what you said about cats, or for that matter why there are humans who fear spiders. Personally, I would have felt way better if certain past raids I was participating in had no spiders in them, and I mean the giant ones. Personally I hope this feature is expanded so players can choose their own preferred replacement appearance, similarly to how mages can choose an appearance for their sheeping spell.

I think WoW being occasionally scary is part of its identity. I have absolutely no problem with it having spiders even though I find them creepy.

But arachnophobia can be absolutely crippling.

There used to be some addons that would work similarly to this, like the old transmog addon people used before transmog was a thing, but those fall against ToS because they were changing the game files.

People certainly did some ‘interesting’ things with their game models with that mod.

There was one that got banned a few years ago (idk if it was the same one I was talking about in my previous post), where people were modifying the flag sizes so the flag carrier could be seen at all times in bgs.

Yeah for all the people making oversized characters, there were those using it to be tiny and cheat. Which is why it was banned.
