You don’t have to retranslate my own word back to myself.
Na, I’m not your teacher. It’s about an 8% nerf on AoE but if you played it properly you’d know thats ok cos it’s pumping rn.
Hahahah “That’s not how math works! So here take my random uninformed ‘about’ guess”. You are nobody’s teacher because you have no clue at all.
most people only ever give a ball park estimate in regards to exact nerf %s it requires quite abit of theorycraft to break down exact amounts, 8% sounds about right in terms of how much of a DPS loss this willwork out to be lol
and to call it uninformed is likely wrong, i doubt its Uniformed, people such as urselves just prefer to overexaggerate a situation to make it sound ALOT worse then it really is, the class is overpowered. it was obvious balancing would occur.
Everyone is with that comp.
Not every class needs a rework, the reason why mages got one was because the gameplay was not excellent.
All 3 specs feel better to play, thanks in no small part to the removal of rune of power.
Opening a support role and then nerfing it because its highly wanted doesnt rly align, thr point of aug is that it wants.
However throwing it at current design prolly wasnt the best idea. The idea of support is that it brings the utility while ur dpsers are primarily only dpsers.
The concept dont work when u have other classes bringjng unequal amounts of utility to add.
For support to work it needs to be 1 supp 2 dps. Where atm ur taking ur support. Then ur taking a shadow priest because of PI and dispel. And then throwing a mage in because its the highest dps option which is grid locking comp opportunities.
Alot needs to change to make aug work agreed. But making aug pointless isnt rly the fix
He is making claims abount math, so quit with the “abouts” and “sounds”. Either you can disprove that it’s an 11+% AOE nerf, or you keep quiet.
You reliese that works the other way round yeah?
Can u prove its a 11% nerf?..
The patch notes are proof. Can you read? I already said: 5% from the aura nerf (which affects Flamestrike), plus another 6% from Flamestrike/patch, which is already close to 11% because Meteor, PF,and LB procs barely do anything. The nerf to Sun King’s is also an aoe nerf, which even double dips, because Flamestrike itself is already nerfed by 11% and that lowered damage is then further nerfed only make 260% hardcasted Flamestrike damage. Add the target cap, and in dungeons like Brackenhide and NL you have a way bigger nerf, depending on pulls, that goes well over 30%. In class discord the number 32% is mentioned, while you brain surgeons here go with 7s and 8s. I just can’t.
What can i say. We like 7s and 8s here.
It’s from sims from a mage theorycrafter. Calm down there on your DK with ya mcdonalds napkin maths will ya.
Which one? Imaginary friends dont count.
The thing that kind of grinds my gears with this statement, is that it just assumes higher ilvl = higher skill.
I meant my guildies, I know they are good players. At least good at my level. I had a month or two off the mage so I’m playing catchup.
Toegrinder. Don’t go moaning at him though please
The nerf to mage is quite significant though especially fire, i do hope that they don’t do the whole dh nerf that they did long ago in pre patch, and they had to buff it again later.
Sure mage is powerful, but 6% is already quite a lot just by itself.
Where is the clip? Because he hasn’t said anything at all about how big the nerfs are on the class discord. His messages on the class discord show him complaining that it is questionable to announce nerfs after only 2 days of data and that the ST nerf is stupid. One of the admins puts the aoe nerf at 10% for 8 targets and 30% for 15 targets.
Cool, just got kinda the oposite my end with guildys in less gear easily trouncing my dps, so its nice to be back up there with them.
On a youtube vid he made. To be fair it was simmed at 5 targets. Im not worried about the soft capped aoe. It’ll be benificial in the long run for tuning around normal sized pulls.
So you try to use his numbers on synthetic 5 targets which never happens to tell me that nerfs are not big, when he himself very concered about how big the nerf is…
