Too many buttons

This shouldn’t be a problem if you played druid at least once in your life.

Already exists. “starter build” is used for that. That’s why there are so many choice nodes with passives and actives for people to choose.

Especially in the general tree you can reject to pick many actives, if you want

Complaining about the state of the game is fine, but if you want to play you still have to cope somehow.

I cope by being a clicker. If the cooldown is 1 minute or more it goes to my clicking bars.

No shame in clicking.
Sometimes whenever I don’t have my hand #2 available , or I just don’t feel the pump - I just go with clicking.

Don’t see a problem in that, considering that this is KIND OF considered to be the original intended way. Let me explain why - World of Warcraft takes its roots from an RTS , and what RTS are ?
That’s right ! A point and click adventure with action and intelligent (sometimes not so) thinking mixed up in it !

So click away, hero!

I am sympathizing with the OP. I am playing multiple healers and for sure the bars are more than full. I cope by having clique mouseovers so i can have different abilities on the same button. But still. And i am also playing brewmaster, which is just plain stupid overbloated (so i am playing it bad by having more passives).

On the other side; i am also playing frost DK and that spec is totally fine (and fun) to play.
I don’t know about other specs.

What Class and Spec are you playing?

That’s fine, but the point is the very fact that players who would use keybinds can’t because of the number of them. If a clicker comes and tells me there aren’t too many buttons because they can just click them, my response is that WoW should not require clicking buttons with the cursor in combat. And it doesn’t, but darn are we close. For me just adding 2 abilities more will run me completely out of usable binds, and we’re well past comfortable.

Just bind a modifier to your mouse and you can press so many more abilities really easy. I can easily bind 40+. Also, use your mousewheel.

I’d like to have keybinds for all abilities but that’s just not possible in this game (not sure if it ever would have been for someone like me).

How about we have a game for millions of people and not one that requires reconfiguring your mouse with software? I mean it’s ridiculous. Do you realize what you’re saying and where you’re taking the game with these kinds of ideas? As if the addon ragnarok we’re in wasn’t enough, jeeze.

Not all, but all needed in combat in any given spec.

I think it has been. I don’t know without measurements, but I think it has. Do you have this problem in vanilla?

I started in BFA, and I didn’t really play classic. I did Elwynn forest then left because it wasn’t particularly fun.

Fair enough. :stuck_out_tongue:

I copied my binds over from retail and half the buttons were empty.

Just start a new class and you will be fine with no matter how many buttons there are tbh.
The thing is that you’re probably just a bit rusty now and going practically from zero to a complete developed class is overwhelming.

Why can’t wow just be a niche game for a bunch fo nerds, who like it a lot? Does it need to be mainstream, where celeb boast in social media like with diablo 4, and then the game dies in a month, because casuals quit fast naturally…

Just reconfigure your mouse honestly…

Because it kills the development team. They can’t afford to make this much content for a niche game.

No.

And more importantly:
Hundreds of millions of gamers:

No.

OK? I don’t want wow to be a good game for hundreds of millions of gamers, because the average gamer plays Candy Crush.

->I think, if they do pruning, 20-30 buttons is a good range, period. Below it will be bad

I don’t care that you don’t care.

I only care about the health of the game.

And the health of the game will be in a dark place if we have to ask people to buy MMO mice or getting special controllers or fiddling with their mouse or friggin’ foot petals for modifiers.

That’s my opinion. I think your position is stupid and will kill the entire game - or what’s left of it.

Isn’t that requiring a special mouse in the first place?
And requires completely relearning playing the game, like pressing abilities with your mousehand and move with your keyboardhand. I learned long time ago to do it the other way around.
