Either you’re lying or you haven’t checked your facts, because that is simply not correct.
This is misinformation at least, a blatant lie at worst.
I have to say I was wrong. I did not know people would use it and be this elitist. It is just on a whole other level than I was expecting. Give automated queues for those who want it. Because this is just insanity waiting hours and getting declined.
This is a lie.
I was there back with real wotlk and ur right, sub numbers went very downhill when they introduced heirlooms + RDF.
Categorically and provably false.
Nope. It’s actually quite correct.

This image that someone linked to me in an earlier thread to try to say the same thing literally proves that subscriber counts never dipped till Cataclysm.
So what? You can’t expect the drop starting right away. There will be always a (small) delay from the introduction of a particular change and people’s realization that said change sucks and it’s for the worse (or the better).
RDF gets introduced, probably everyone is excited. It then gets used for a while and players eventually start to realize it’s actually not good. Game doesn’t feel the same. Subs starts to drop.
You’d really expect an effect taking place right after the cause. Yes sure, maybe on a population of geniuses.
That was quite literally the claim so you’re just trying to move the goalpost.
A YEAR or HALF of WotLKs liftime or a SIXTH of the total lifespan of WoW at the time isn’t a “small delay”.
Meanwhile, even Blizzard has admitted they made a lot of mistakes in Cataclysm where sub numbers started dropping.
But go up to bat for people who admitted they made a mistake wont you.
ICC was also nearly a year long, the amount of people screaming “Reeeeee… Nothing to do… worst content drought ever” after ToC/Argent Tournament was bad enough. They got progressively worse during ICC depsite the raid and 3 new 5man’s being well received.
Even the introduction of Halion as “filler content” did little to quell people screaming about lack of content for almost a year. (let’s not get into the crying about Onyxia for the Anniversary event).
Add to that the upcoming villian (Deathwing) and the changes to Old Azeroth. I’m not entirely sure you can definitively say people who un-subbed did so because Heirlooms and RDF.
Heirlooms were in Wotlk from the beginning for a start. Why no sub drop?
Either way. They announced it well in advance there would be no rdf. You all knew it. You went ahead and started playing the game regardless. I don’t get why you cry about it now. Just playing the freaking game. We all found groups for Dungeons without even the LFG tool we now have just fine in Classic.
You’re creating a non-existing problem.
Call it crying, discussing, venting or whatever. People who are pleased with a situation rarely if ever feel the need to go out of their way to proclaim it publicly. They are too busy enjoying themselves and/or don’t care that others feel bad.
If you are anti-RDF, and happy it’s excluded then why come to threads where people are clearly upset about it?
Surely, you should be taking advantage of the fact the game is now the way you want and be less concerned about how others with differing opinions feel, no?
Not everyone stays up to date about every change made to Classic, they simply know it exists. The shock comes when they have subscribed and then realise, oh wait… this is different/not the way I remembered or unexpected.
It’s not like Blizzards advertisements made the removal a prominant selling point. It’s not well advertised. I myself didn’t know until a week before pre-patch when I came back to WoW.
I’m happy that this is a non-existing problem to you.
You are still a (very vocal) minority. You’re making a lot of noise probably in an attempt to make it seem as if “people” is dissatisfied but honestly you don’t fool anybody. It’s always the same couple pals making this “elitists don’t want rdf” threads. It’s getting tiring.
99% of players is fine with it or simply don’t care.
There are other issues with the game demanding urgent attention way before this rdf nonsense.
Nice numbers there. Problem is that pro-rdf posts usually have more likes than anti-rdf posts. Welcome to reality.
Again cause 99% don’t even care or they’re fine with it so they are obviously not even here. Those pro-rdf likes you see - 30 or 40 or so, make it even a 100 - that’s probably everything there is to it, 100 unsatisfied, out of ten of thousands.
I wrote 99%, let me rectify - 99.9% is probably more accurate.
I’m not the one that needs a reality check here.
Again. Nice numbers. Everyone with half a brain can see it is not real. But ye, lets argue. 99.9% players would not care if there is RDF or not. Only vocal minority shouts against it.
More accurate.
There is no point in arguing. If you want to stay in your delusion that most people wants rdf be my guest. It’s not coming regardless.
Have a good day.
Yup. Feel free to leave those forums because they are full of vocal minority RDFers.
