I never stated its a group leaders job to create a specific composition. I stated the basic word. I.e Tank Healer and 3 DPS.
My second half of my rant would contradict my point wntirely if its contexted in the way you state as my second half aknowledges a group of any 5 classes can do the content as i stated i disagree with that design and feel its bad.
I stated its the responsibility of a group leader to create a group.comp to progress content, there was no specific. It simply referenced a group comp capable of the content.
And it is.
The group leader ultimately decides who does and does not join regardless of the metric hes using to make that decision.
Its not elitist to recirve 300 dps applications and choose the best 3, thats common sense.

Considering RDF arrived in 3.3.5 the final patch of wrath. Cata was the first new dungeons launched on the RDF system. And it is noteable that cata dungeons caused major outroar from players stating its too hard to do, and they were nerfed into the abyss over the ezpansion.
Its also noted from then onwards to cater to RDF system primarily they started removing mechsnics from dungeons and more to ensure the content was doable withojt a comp.
Theres no lie rhere nor statement it required a specific comp

No matter what anyone wants to say about RDF, it HAS to be included in WOTLK Classic at the stage it was added originally in order for it to be WOTLK Classic. Period, no discussion.
We are WAY past the stage where we playing wotlk CLASSIC, half the stuff we got shouldnt even be here let alone those goody bags that’s destroying the economy aren’t exactly good features

the issue isnt “elitism” or “Toxicity” the issue is, u have even experienced, theres a sheer disparity in role popularity.
if ur getting 300 DPS Apply to a group in the time it takes to get a tank or healer, its human nature to take the best 3, not because theyre telling u “lol u cant play feral” but because its common sense.
No ones going to intentionally play a system badly, RDF Just simply removes the players ability to engage with the system forcing players to participate with randomised groups, but the elitism and toxicity doesnt end.
WoW Retail has a RDF System, and People used to be booted out of groups for not having heirlooms, RDF Never fixed the system. the difference is these players boot u mid dungeon instead of rejecting u prior entry.
if someone is on a progressive nature RDF will not fix the issue ur simply increasing the time investment required before seeing a problem.
adding RDF Doesnt help get you invited to raids, it simply wont and the problems u have now will just start happening at that entry point instead. theres no fix for meta gaming, u cant avoid it, theres very little u can do about the situation
except. Join a guild of players who arent alike that mindset.
when u play the most replacable role in a group, your going to have to accept, ur going to get replaced. it comes with the terrority of being a DPS. and No RDF System, no Group finder, no Raid finder has ever cured that problem.
players will always, tolerate Less meta tanks and healers, you dont see alot of tanks posting up “NO ONE WANTS ME CUZ A OTHER TANKS STRONGER”. we as players will tolerate compromise with those roles, because the demand for them far out weigh the supply.
if u go and roll a hybrid class, and use its tank role to gear, creating ur own group will bring a very different experience. i do it on retail all the time. List my role as a Tank or Healer depending on what char im playing, because the other role will apply super fast. get 2 DPS Swap to a DPS Role and then use the fact u have a healer to invite a tank at a fast rate.
it gets groups made in under 10 mins :P, even when i was playing a feral druid
I would more say that elitism are the players who only play with the set mind of know the bugs the way to skip 99% of trash mobs and one shot bosses almost . And off course earn 1000k gold run in gdkp services
Do your own group. If some Sunwell geared tank wants only Sunwell geared dps and healer for ez fast run it is his/hers right. If group of Sunwell/A4 dps want the same geared tank, let em search for one.
First 3 instances can be done in lvl 68-72 green/blues the only difference with t6/a4 is time spent.
RDF really works only for lazy catch upers, who want to leech on someone to carry em and do it fast and efficient. It only brings pain to undergeared tanks and forces devs to nerf content fast, so any combination players could do it even if they play it all wrong.
