Trading Post - Tender/Costs

Stuff that I can use in Classic.
Sometimes I visit Modern and pick up a few things because why not, kind of sends a message, too, about what I like. I could use some of those in MoPR, like the fish tank back.

Sure, Classic is a game where you collect things with skill, and respect the old looks, so.

To be fair this applies to all Modern collectibles, including the MoPR rewards.
I farmed those diligently, and… nothing.

To me the rate has been okay so far. I am not sure I ever bought a pet. I buy the occational mount. I mostly buy mogs, but not necessarily full sets. I usually buy based on uniqueness or if it fits the themes I like going for on my chars. That way I end up hardly spending any tender some months, while other months I spend some. I think I bought a lot last month. I am broke now, for the first time.

If I had more tender I would obviously buy more, but I try to stick to items I am certain I’d want to use. It helps that items return, in case I missed out the first release.

We don’t all go all out in one day.

The amount feels a little low considering the price of what is available. However, I have about 3.5k hoarded that i have managed to save since the TP was launched.

There are assorted things I would like this month that I haven’t brought yet, but I’m holding on for the February preview.

I normally spend my tendies on things I will actually use, mostly mounts, a few pets and the odd transmog. If it seems too expensive or I am not sure I will ever actually use it I either freeze it or wait until it reappears.

The Classic Playerbase generally like to have no changes. So I’m not sure that would go down well with all.

Interesting idea though.

Trading Post is a freebie.

I see it as Santa Claus, coming along once a month with a bag of goodies saying: ‘pick one or two, but dont be greedy’. :grinning:

Well it might be or not be as so but the prices can still also be more sencial like not put random weapons for 600-800 tendies if mounts usually only cost that much. Makes no sense if have to choose between 1 wpn or mount if would use this kinda example. Some things just according logic hold more value than other things

1 weapon that is usable by only class with such weapon school vs mount that is usable by all, they should not be same price. On the price and value equation the other brings more value in general than the other.

I wish they stop giving us mounts for 6 months , just recycle the one’s already out so mount collectors can actually buy some of the mogs

Realistically there could and probably should be one or 2 tender wq everyday maybe 250 tender each or so that way we can save up for those expensive mounts and items in adv.

It seems rather unfair we miss them each month bc of a lack of currency made avalible.

The current system being used is inefficent takes far too long and far too much effort for it to he viable in a game built on grinding for gold and upgrades alike.

So blizz need to make it feel more natural and ofc choice orientated to do actual visible wq each day that will give tender but make said wq account wide or your gnna have ppl like me with an alt army farming 21k tender perday

If it was done account wide for tender wq ppl would have enough time spare to do otherstuff too.

In addition to this the ilvl of gear in wq drops needs an increase to match up to newer content.

Only by say 6 pnts or so, i mean 6 pnts without upgrades being added onto the items bc thats kind of cheating ppl.

So lets say for eg a 330 that can be upgraded to 340

We’d get a 366 that can go to 346.

I know the numbers arnt retails current its just an example and i also know the feed is for tender items.

I thought id just throw it in there for gd measure

Theres wqs that already give all sort of things, 1-2 per week that give 100 tender each wouldnt be too unordinary. And then if they kept some sense with pricings as if they set mounts at 800 they wouldnt then put some random weapons on the same price range. I think that would be pretty reasonable.

No.

If a Tender WQ would be added, it should be one available at lvl 10 without any requirements and with only Tenders as reward.

Why? Because lvl 10 Chars can complete the entire journal.
The Trading Post is purely cosmetic, no need adding gear and such to a Tender World Quest.

Huh, that would actually be a funny idea to revive the old world: Tender WQs popping up in non-current-expansion zones that award nothing but Tender! Also a way to stoke nostalgia and animate ppl to revisit those zones on other occasions.

That would be too much, given what we currently get monthly… but maybe the usual rotation of new WQs every three days or so with two of them popping up and giving 25-50 Tenders; would still add up to 500-1000 extra tender over the duration of a month.

The monthly reward when you fill the bar should be a choice between one of the big ticket items (mount, ensemble or pet reward). This will allow people to collect one “free” big ticket item per month and buy another with tendies.

This will also fix the “this month’s fill the bar reward is lame” issue. You get something equivalent to the vicious saddle lets call it “Trader’s Barter”, you can spend that only on one of the big ticket items and it expires in 30days so you can’t hoard them.

I think of the trading post as a bank of free gifts, here we are on the 5th of the month and my bar is well over half full without me even trying. I shall concentrate on the mounts and just get what I can afford, maybe put 1 on hold.

Yeah thats what i was saying wq in relevant xpacs should be avalible on the lvl needed to begin them, so if you were to put the tender in wq then df as its the starter xpac now then @ lvl 10 you’d instantly be able to partake.

As you said though no other rewards for it ever just tender.

It could be done that way or listed as a daily quest or perhaps a few offerering the same rewards that lock when you have done x 2 across account, that way you can place them in every xpac and all will benefit.

The key is no more than 500 perday per account.

You could literally alter existing dailyies in wrath tbc ect etc to give the reward perhaps the frst 2 you do give tender instead  then ofc they will revert to normal and give gold etc.

Obv doing this means the cap is removed or heightned by a substantial amount.

Lets say 500% increase bc there are ppl now that will cap tender out in a few days as it is.

I know, was only my opinion on trading post

I’m not keen on a WQ system myself but it’s an interesting idea for sure. I think it’s kinder if it’s a system that doesn’t punish someone for not wanting to log in every day.

I think everyday would probably be an overkill but a weekly for 250 would actually add another 1000 tenders a month which is very good.

This was the month that’s done it for me. Even with the ability to freeze one, I don’t have enough now for the 2H mace, Fist and Rifle, which is incredibly annoying.

Yep, I should have had future sight and planned ahead a few months, but we’ve just come out of several months of stellar Trade Post offerings, which turns out to be just far too punishing on the wallet…

Its always baffled me why the game will keep telling you that you’ve completed different goals for the Trading Post, even after you have earned your 1000 for the month.

Blizz should just allow those to keep awarding you tender as you naturally complete the goals at a bare minimum imo
