Transmog restrictions

Anduin is a Priest. He uses plate and a two-handed sword. And no, he is not a paladin.

I think you should be able to transmog with any kind of gear, no matter what class you are. You shouldn’t be able to equip plate as a warlock/priest, but mog with it? Sure. I’ve unlocked the appearance, why shouldn’t I be able to use it everywhere?

THe Thunderlord set from the Garrison is from a clan of hunters. Who cant use it? Hunters.

At the moment Anduin is a death knight lol.

But seriously, Anduin is the King of Stormwind, he could turn up to work in a TuTu and I wouldn’t call him a Ballerina! He can wear whatever he wants.

It’s because he’s an NPC, and they don’t get restrictions like players do. Which is stupid.

I would like to see that outfit!

But they’re doing things that causes that ANYWAY.

  • Metal shoulders transmoggable for everyone.
  • Cloth sets in the store.
  • Boots in the trial of style (some look like leather, some like cloth and some like… weird).
  • Blizzcon transmog.

And that’s not even all the examples.
As long as they keep the class specific sets unique for those classes, I think there’s enough class identity left.

And really; I think the majority of the players’ fantasy for their character is in line with their class. I don’t think there’s very many people who want a big hulking orc warrior in a dress, for instance.

I would love for my hunter to wear leather armor. It doesn’t make sense for a hunter to wear mail in the first place.

Completely agree. I’ve always said as much.
That coupled with the fact that mail is a really underrepresented armor type (only 2 classes who use it), I really think something needs to be done about it.

Why is it stupid? It’s to make him stand out to not being a player.

New Leaked Anduin Model from Sepulcher…

And he’s FABULOUS!!!

He has a unique model and voice lines, that stands out enough.

They could give him unique cloth armor, but they went with plate.

He’s wearing his Father’s armour. It’s significant to him to feel close to his Father.

Main characters in the game have always been able to do things that we can not.

I guess it’s to make him look like the King Of Stormwind. Because that’s his identity. Like as Jaina = Mage, Uther = Paladin, Malfurion = Dudu. Anduin = King. I bet the average player wouldn’t know he was a Priest. I personally can’t recall anytime I’ve played the game (and I’ve played since Vanilla), and being a priest was part of who he was. No he was the Boy King waiting for his father to return.

Who knows, after this whole domination thing, maybe they’ll give him a little re-brand.

I bet he’s got a little soul searching to do.

What armor is that? Varian never wore that armor.

Varians armor was obliterated with him.

I’m aware, doesn’t mean I have to like it.

Maybe I’m misremembering the plate thing, I was under the impression it was some kind of Varian related thing, even if it was a remake.

The thing that annoys me with the NPCs is that they are all super powerful for parts of the story then magically become useless when you need them the most.

Only one that this doesnt happen to is Baine, he’s useless 24/7.

I have zero time for Baine, yet he’s a firm favourite with some.

Yeah that is kind of a thing, isn’t it.
Just having extremely powerful NPCs standing by and watch while WE do the work.
I’m pretty sure Baine could one shot my character, and yet there he is… Sitting. Sulking. For months.

Ah well… I guess we have to roleplay that they’re actually part of everything we do…

Which I’ll never understand, since he bend over to the alliance 24/7. I’ve always considered him as a Horde traitor.

Always got so mad when I had to save him in the Maw Intro and Torghast… just let me kill him!

I feel the same, he’s more in Anduin’s pocket and a big Alliance sympathiser than a true Horde.

I didn’t want to save any of them from the Maw, they could all have stayed there.
