How precog should safe you from nonstop damage that you can’t escape?
Imagine you got precog what next? Fear that Will be dispelled or ignored by half of the melee? Stun like shadowfury?
precog isn’t a solution, when your CC matter only on high dampening or when healer can be isolated due to bad placing.

You get precog get your damage rotation off and port they use mobility to get to you then you use howl warr will zerker rage you pet stun it you still have port freedom and you are away and now they are been bursted while they have their own CDs up and you still have port freedom to run away while it’s happening you don’t even have to cc the healer the other dps will be doing it.

And guess what you can do that everytime they do a go and he won’t have a zerker rage for every go but I’m guessing you used your pet stun in the opener.

You get precog, summon your demons then port, Demons stat behind while war and any other melee just GCD to you, war uses bladestorm or berserker shout, you can’t use fear and shadowfury will be useless, Felguard is to far away for axe toss.

Warlock design right now is not working, we have damage part but not design part.
Our defenses is not working and soul leech is broken, this is why our tanking is worse than it was before TWW. If spec and class wasn’t been plagued by gamebreaking bugs, maybe my point of view on Melee mobility and CC overaboundance would have been different. But Right now the very first talent you get “Soul Leech” doesn’t work with all new talents and spells that was introduced in TWW, and on top of that numbers of old spells stopped to work.

If the warrior bladestorms when he reconnects thats him knowing how to play around your script most lower warriors would have already used it this is the basic kite playstyle for demo you have to add variety to it the higher you go and meele get better but doing this one kiting setup everygame vs meele will get you to atleast 2.2 the pets will follow and all top demos do these setups and the meele wont be getting to you within a GCD because you should have ported los and even then you still have abilities like soul rip when they do connect.

Because you are playing los with port also the warr will have to leap to get it and you can even gate to the other side of the map because its instant cast now.

You also need to leave gaps between your cc for example dont howl him into a felguard stun howl him then let him charge then stun this gets rid of his mobility for later on in the game.

Sounds cool, but even on streams of locks on 2.2-.2.2 it doesn’t work. You get trained no matter what, because either port, gateways and defenses of warlock is just not enough to survive and fight, or mobility, anti CC capabilities, CC and damage of Melee is too much. And this is not a warlock exclusive problem, any class with low mobility cannot survive and do a lot during melee pressure, just because melees are overtuned thanks to mages.

The only thing that needs to be discussed here is Ret paladin.
Bubble needs to reduce their damage by 50%.
Their overall damage reduced.
LoH affected by dampening.

Right now there is no class that can counter a Ret paladin.

As a ret paladin i don’t like destro locks that are good at fake casting… being able to spam chaos bolts in my face is overpowered. Nerf precognition, especially with dual melee kicks always overlap and trigger it.

Ye because surely dev evoker/DH/assa/hunter/mage all 3 specs are not a problem and it’s just ret it definitely needs nerfing defensively but offensively there is bigger offenders that ruin gameplay design more than ret at the higher ranks the problem is ret defensives make these classes stronger as they get to play untill a point where their damage is too much or they have the potential to just 1 shot the ret.

This is not true at all. All AI speccs are bad for the game. You can dispell dots on casters, physcal dots speccs are another story, but blizzard resolves it by not tuning them accordingly.
Demo had its best iteration in wod (meta + demon bolt) and legion (thakiel consump. Setups). Since they are a caster bm hunter they are either overtuned or undertuned, most likely undertuned with a really bad AI for the major CD (tyrant)

You can slow, root, fear demons. Fear won’t work on BM or UDK pets, but still. You can Line them, you can outrun them.
With DoTs how many classes can dispel dots, how many can remove bleeds and poisons?

I myself is not happy with the current design of demo - I would have proffered Quality over quantity when it comes to demons.

Sadly because of Illidan wannabe cosplayers Meta won’t come back to Demo.

The only dk pets that are currently doing big damage are the horseman and they can be feared.

Also which dots are doing 500-1million damage per hit because that’s what the pets are doing on pet specs right now.

You mean the main pet? Because dks are not playing with ghouls currently because they are running necromancers bargain and army of the dead and raise abomination are on the same talent node.

You have 2 undead pets abomination and main pet and the felguard hits harder than the dk pet and abom hits around 500-1 million per hit while been slow and hitting random targets.

They follow initial command but after 11.2 on assist or on passive they have a habbit of attacking not my target but the closest to them.

My felguard hits on average.

  • Melee 100k
  • legion strike 137k
  • soul strike 385

This is average damage across several soloQ and blitz while playing diabolist and with tyrant so ~40-45% of additional damage.

It’s probably more than the main dk ghoul then don’t forget it also has a MS but to your comment above yes you can kite pets if they are in a root a lot of the pets have charge especially BM pets while some of demos pets cast and the dk grips people into its pets so your main pet alone is basically a garrote and if its average damage that means it most likely will be critting with them abilities around 600-1 million because it takes into account damage reductions and defensive cds.

Wild imp and Tyrant, Tyrant is nerfed and without burst talent, Wild imps is dangerous only when you have around 9 of them - since no one would let you cast 3 HoGs back to back.

Which you can do with precog so how many pets is that on the screen then while we are talking about the health of the game and pets not been worse than dots?
9 imps 2 felguards a tyrant a vilefiend and you can have 4 dogs up at once I believe? 17 pets.

So as a new player that can get overwhelmed would you rather have a row of affliction dots on you or 17 pets all casting animations and making sound effects?

This is an ideal situation that is less likely than you get hit by the toiled that fell from the space station.
For that you need 5 soul shards, at least 3 procs of demonic core, proc for free dogs.
For everything of that you need to cast SB. Demonic cores is a low chance of disspawned imp, guranteed after dreadstalkers dissapear, or power siphon that is 2 DC at 30 seconds at the price of two imps.
3 seconds of precog is not enough to cast even two hands of Gul’dan.

Everything is overwhelming for new player. Melee monkeys jumping across the arena, oneshots from classes like MM or Destro or arcane. Unstoppable melee like warriors ETC.

What is more confusing to see gang of demons, or blink and see how your HP bar disappeared because of the burts of the class that stands 50+Yd away?

Why are you comparing it to other classes now when we was talking about dots vs pets? Also can you take a look at the shuffle ladder at the highest ratings you will see that demo is the 3rd best caster on the ladder before the mage and boomy nerfs it could change now to be top tier.

Why can these demos on the ladder get to that rating if it’s impossible to get damage off or kite as demo?

I also don’t understand the melee monkey part the hardest classes to play in the game happen to be Meele.
