I suppose finally it’s a right time to remove all Activision/Blizzard software from my pc and replace it with something more fruity. I don’t want to support this rotten and hypocritical corporate anymore.
Fortunately RL around me is not so corrupt yet and cleavages/nipples/etc. are still considered a normal (and nice) thing.

I think we all knew that was going to happen, I wonder how many ‘femme’ characters now look like they should be suffering from extreme backache! I am reliably informed by those of the ‘distaff’ population that such is indeed a pain (literally) for those over endowed, and you just know there’ll be a lot of thirsty young lads upping the size…
This however I can’t help but agree with. If this is (as many suspect, and are probably right to do so) some clumsy attempt to ameliorate the upcoming legal shenanigans then they are pretty sorely mistaken, especially as it was so blatantly done, and visible on social media. It would be incredibly naïve of Blizzard to imagine for a moment that any state prosecutors would be unaware of this hurried and slapdash approach towards anything that could be deemed offensive, especially when they are done with such erratic methods…
‘Big Pink Love Rocket’ is a nickname for the male generative organ is it? Where? I mean not in the UK for certain. It just doesn’t work as slang, it is too awkward and contrived. I’ve been 47 years on this earth and have pretty much heard it all, and language that would make a sailor blush, but I have never heard that term used to describe those bits at all. I could list many slang terms that -do-, but even though they contain no obscene words it would still be risking a ban.
Because the forums are also badly censored, because they work by American rules. They censor language that is in the -Game- for goodness sake. Lemme give you an example. You can type the words ‘God’ and ‘Damned’ separately, but you can’t connect the two words, which is insane…What logic is that following? Especially when the phrase is perfectly allowable in US TV Shows.
They made a dumb move in sacking the Versailles staff. Because they have no clue whatsoever that sometimes they use words that are actually swear words in European countries, There are two hilarious ones that spring to mind, one in Silverpine (No, not the Sylvanas one) and one in Twilight Highlands.
So what message are they trying to send here?
‘Twin Consorts’ whilst leaving ‘Consort’ in there? How does that make sense? What is the logic behind that thinking? A Consort is -willing- whether in the sexual sense or not, as otherwise they are not a Consort, but a Victim, and who cares if they are twins?
Blizzard operate out of California, and that ain’t so far in relative terms from a certain state where a splinter group of Christianity is founded, that -allows- marriage to more than one person, actual marriage, not just polygamy, which would be fine.
Yet they have a problem with the words ‘twin Consorts’
So yeah, the problem is Blizzard, not the Players.

It’s gotten even funnier now that has gone full circle and you have people being offended by people being offended, or a cybernetic war between Tumblr and Twitch…That sounds cooler.

The only thing that has changed ‘These days’ is that social media makes it possible for people to assume that more people are offended by things now, than at any time in the past. Which just ain’t true.

In the past there was no internet, social interaction was only in person, and in most cases not with total strangers. The chance of being offended scales with the number of people one interacts with, so no, it wasn’t worse in the past.
So the last two lines of my last post there?
That social media has exacerbated an already existing thing by making it visible to all. The outrage and offendednous hasn’t changed, it being visible to more people has.
That I agree with, I don’t agree that it was worse in the past.

although i cant imagine a parent who is actually doing end-game content just to know if the kid can play it.

Im sure the naked mog, big boobies & naked art downloads are still around - dont even know what its called but got told to download it years ago, sure it still works if you want breasts & stockings - Blizzard tried to wipe women & consorts & wallart way back then

When you have a bad story against your name, and it’s all over Teh Interwebz, one of the standard mitigation strategies is to flood the zone with … well, with other chatter.
As anyone who actually, like, read the filings knows, this lawsuit is actually about equal pay and advancement, and from what we’ve seen so far, it is … arguable. The DFEH threw in the scandalous stuff as a dirty-tricks effort to get Blizzard to roll over without a defense. “Nice little reputation you got there … shame if something happened to it.”
So now Blizzard are generating a ton of gossipy chaff to dilute the effect.
The game is just collateral damage.
One is in Silverpine, when you are ‘waking up’ the drunken Sea Dog orcs , and the dialogue is "I may have … myself rhymes with ‘Hissed’ definitely a worse swearword than Garrosh uses at Sylvanas. Fairly mild, but I wouldn’t use it in front of my mother, it refers to ‘micturation’ (Horde Quest only)
The other is in Twilight Highlands at the very start, where a Wildhammer Dwarf says something like “You Alliance *****” took your time to get here!" The word rhymes with ‘Tanks’, and refers to self pleasuring oneself.
Which is weird, and shows that Americans really don’t understand that word, as you just don’t use it that way to a person.
That is also far, far worse than what Garrosh says…

maybe rename the game as well. not warcraft war is a nasty and ugly word, war is terrible.
