Our group of around 100 people is split, we are bascially our own community of players that all came back to the game and were on a server together during Wrath (between 5-6 guilds) that are now split between Ten Storms and Shazzrah. The guys on Shazz took time off work for launch so they were able to log in early in the day without queues and the guys who didnât take time off work are on Ten Storms as they get hit with 5 hours queues when they get home. Itâs rediculous, we are supposed to be enjoying this great game with friends, grouping up to re-run epic dungeons with each other and itâs basically a whole heap of fail atm Open the free transfers and sort it out. Opening new realms doensât solve the issue, it adds to it without giving the players on high/full realms and option to move away with their chars they have already invested time in!
Are you trolling us? What do you mean plan around it and perfectly foreseeable⌠How can you plan around a queue when there are 3 servers to start with, then 2 more open then 2 moreâŚ
Should I make a character each time blizzard âsuggestsâ to move?
How about they open free realm transferâŚ
How do you know that vanilla will live as long as you think it will⌠You sir have a circle logic⌠âPlan accordinglyâ⌠Jesus Christ you have no idea what youâre talking aboutâŚ
No⌠People should not be âable to dealâ with it⌠Itâs Blizzards own f**kup not the people⌠Stop defending a faceless company for trying to make more moneyâŚ
The only reason why they donât open more servers is to minimize maintenance costs nothing more⌠Cloud Space costs moneyâŚ
It was perfectly foreseeable in the sense that if youâre not okay with âwasting timeâ in a video game(something made for the sake of âwasting timeâ btw), it was very obvious to sit it out until queues had settled down.
Thereâs a huge difference between wasting time because you push buttons and try to creatively use part of your brainâŚ
And waiting patiently for a countdownâŚ
If the 2nd form is entertainment for you and you like to waste time with it, I guess âwatch the paint dryâ is also acceptable game you play in your familyâŚ
Wouldnt you then say that you are rather unqualified to discuss long queues, blizzards failings, possible solutions due to being biased? Not to mention because you are pretty transparent in your desire to just troll anywayâŚ
See, I moved twice. I like to play on PvP realms, actually payed to play on a PvP server. I get 6-10 hour queues during primetime on my server, a server I moved to on blizzards insistence.
Opening new servers is not a solution. Its the worst thing blizzard can do atm, because those new servers will die out first. An empty PvP server is the worst thing that can happen to you.
Its also bad, because mainly soloplayers go to new servers. Moving a guild to a new server at this point is pretty much impossible to do. Everybody in a guild has friends that dont want to move.
Best solution is to increase capacity, add layers, tempban afk-macro users, wait for hype to die down, and then offer free transfers as a last resort.
I completely agree with you⌠And I do want to moveâŚ
So how can I take the âother 3 days of investmentâ with me? Should I pay for someoneâs else f*ck-up ?
All servers (besides some RP and Normal servers) had yesterday a 1h+ queue. Just because right now some of them donât have queue doesnât speak much for this causeâŚ
You think? Because so far, the only thing that really reduced queues except for on the two big servers, was actually the increase to server-population size.
That should tell you something.
Considering they canât increase the cap indefinitely, they need to go to other solutions. People want them to remove layering also, but with even higher realm caps thatâs going to be even more difficult.
3 days is enough of an investment for some people.
For a game that has a lifespan of 5 days until now, 3 days is more than half.
Just so I can explain in laymanâs terms for youâŚ
A lot of people want to reach 60 asap. A lot of people know that thereâs a farming advantage once you get there. Things will be very expensive at beginnings⌠If you reach level 60 after 3 monthsâŚ
Youâll have a hard time to catch up compared to now when everyone is in the same terms.
