Unhappy players from pvp servers please explain

…what did you expect from playing on pvp servers?
What was your motivation to roll on pvp servers, what kind of wpvp gameplay did you expect?
Post your answers so people understand.

I expected pvp servers to be playable because they only released like 2-3 PvE servers at launch (which quickly became unplayable).

And for the most part, I’m reasonably happy with my pvp experience. As a solo player, it can be difficult to survive in a world where groups of 5 go routinely on the hunt in honour farming gangs. But the spy addon makes avoiding pvp relatively simple.

Can happy players answer?:stuck_out_tongue:

I expected exactly this. I was actually annoyed at the lack of wpvp before P2.
I chose PvP server because that’s what im used to, it’s the full game experience in my eyes.
I expected more of a challenge.

Expected exactly what’s currently happening.

This.

I’m stunned that there are people out there whom thought otherwise tbh. Naive

Alot of ppl didn’t realize the servers would be 5x more full then back in Vanilla.
Combine that with the fact of alot of faction unbalance, is making it no fun at all.
Want a challenge? Roll Alliance.

Really, they couldnt see that when they were playing before?

Edit: I’ve been Alliance. On TBC servers, where it is actually unbalanced.

Not when you only get to pick out of 3 servers at the start.
Besides that. I knew there would be somekind of inbalance, but was hoping alot of ppl that choose horde understood this.
I guess they didn’t.

That will result in a long quee for horde when BG’s are introduced.

Doesnt matter how many there was at the start, there was literally no investment made to characters that early.

Game was nothing like this back then.
Sure a zone could be taken over, and they did get taken over. We faught to reclaim the zone. We faught to take control of a zone, defended the zone. So a zone would be under ally or horde control for x hours. During that time period people had to quest somehwere else, level somewhere else.

Now it is the entire world that is dominated by 1 faction. And there is nowhere else.

and i am telling you that noone expected it to be this bad. noone.

More people are enjoying it than not. So it’s not even bad to begin with.

Everyone was warning about this about the highest pop servers

So wrong in there.
Spending like 30+ hours without sleep at the start… will not be given up easily.
Try again, with some decent arguments.

Nonsense. Get a grip.

In a sense, yes. This is as I expected.

It is a private server Vanilla experience more so than a retail Vanilla experience.

More people are hating it it than not. So it’s a bad beginning.

Fixed.

I think people expected the sort of world PvP situation they had in vanilla, ie - levelling with occasional attacks from the other faction, this is how I remember it but I actually started in 2006 on US servers and BGs were already in and the population was lower, so maybe my experience then was different to most…

When I saw the phase plan for classic I did expect this to happen during phase 2, Im not unhappy, Im taking a holiday on a PvE server till phase 3 hits and I imagine this will settle down, also I love BGs so I welcomed phase 2, its one closer to 3

Vanilla never had this, with a max of 3k ppl. It was atleast playable.
You should get a grip and realise that.

Not surprised you would think that, as you already come up with the excuse that there is less alliance than horde.

Not everyone is you, you’re clearly the minority.

Forums is always more complaints than compliments. In-game, everyone is having a great time. Come join, you big chicken.
