Restricted RP-PvP is my favourite way to see if anyone’s come up with the latest and hottest new dog joke to me.
I want them to just out me as a furry in RP already. Nothing would shock me more than a Forsaken exposing me for my wretched interests.

Oh hey I’m gonna do a drive-by on this.
I don’t like unrestricted because there’s not enough time to write and at the end of the day what I can do as a player in terms of gameplay has nothing to do with my characters’ IC skill so it really just is super off-putting. I wouldn’t do ANY ingame PvP in RP at all if it were up to me, not even the half afk eternal auto-attack in RP campaigns.

That and a certain portion of the Alliance roleplayers have an odd fascination with sexual threats, the last rp-pvp campaign I was at a friend counted 23.
We ended up just taking elixir of tongues off, that potion was a mistake.

This is why Blizzard added the no talking cross faction to begin with in Vanilla Alpha/Beta…
Due to their encouragement of tribalism which has, unironically, lead to people being harassed at their own conventions. Blizzard have helped create one of the most horrendous communities, god knows it was bad in Cata and BFA really drove it back to those levels.

Elixir of tongues had supposedly being in the game files since Vanilla. And all i’m saying is you don’t really have this issue with dwarf, nightelf or draenei (etc) roleplayers.

Unrestricted PVP on Argent Dawn always been quite tricky due to Alliance dominates the Horde by population ratio, it is currently 66.6% Alliance and 33.3% Horde still?
The larger events I have been to it usually lead to denying some Alliance guilds or putting them on hold during fighting scenes due to Horde getting rushed down even with ‘‘auto attack’’ rules.
But yeah I personally would love to see more unrestricted RP-PVP events done between guilds in similar sizes.

there is no world in which this is actually reflective of the RP community, let alone the part that’s into unrestricted RP-PvP.

It is very obvious to anyone who RP on Argent Dawn that the majority of the population is Alliance, it have always been like that from the beginning.
As for RP-PVP yes it is literally like that in majority of major RP events that Alliance guilds often placed in standby due to outnumbering Horde guilds by quite a lot.
Indeed, even if there’s like… 100 players who want RP-PvP, that’s probably quite the minority of all Active RPers.
