Flightstones are so stupid for returning players. Just let us update the geare with the event resouces!
And delete flightsones from this game. That is a extremly stupid concept and i am amazed that this stupid concept was not scraped as soon as you got the chance (prepatch).
Go for it. Delete stuff that is “not fun”. Like “I can’t update my gear because my child chried to mutch last week”.

In fairness to him to actually upgrade anything he (or she) would effectively be forced to spam M+ and raids.
So there is some merit to it.

You are recently coming over as very toxic in your posts, asking for the removal of flightstone’s is no no bad thing just let them use the event currency the gear is replaced during leveling anyways has not effect on you.

He isnt forced to do anything also upgrading gear by now is really not that needed for the expansion.
Why would blizzard need to let u use the event currency? I dont see any point in it.
The pre patch event gives you crests already for its upgrade tier.
All OP would have to do is run some dungeons for flightstones.
It isn’t that hard to invest a bit of time. We have 30 days roughly.
I simply disagree with OP. And I absolutely object the idea of removing flightstones from the game. Why? Because it would mean COMPLETELY REVERTING to the old system with gear that can’t be upgraded.
It’s such a stupid take in my opinion, that I am not willing to hold back my mockery for OP proposing something that would be overall very hurtful for the game again.
However, asking for Flightstones to drop from the pre patch event too IS a good idea. One that neither you nor the OP had so far.
Because if Flightstones would drop from the pre patch event, it would mean that players could actually upgrade all their existing gear from DF too. 
Please re read what you posted and think about what you said.
You can buy gear with it so they might as well if you want to farm it let you upgrade with it as well instead of making you do raids/m+ it does not harm you as you are i n 517 and the max you can get to is 502 please use some logic its leveling gear.
he is not asking to remove just to use the currency they are earning instead of being forced to raid/m+ to get max 502 items.
DF is done/dead/kaput its all about fun and chill before TWW 23 days.
Deleting FS would be great idea tbh as you should not need so many currinces to upgrade 1 item. It is silly we have flightstones and so many different types of crests.

You are being obtuse how can a player get into M+ or raid if there item level is to low? think about it.
read my edited post, it does not harm you 1 bit and you are making such a fuss over it. were you not the person who said it was hard to gear and to do content in a long post? now it was ok for you to suggest but nobody else?

No, I wasn’t that person. I was that person criticizing in DF S1 that only Mythic+ and PvP gear is upgradable. And that they should apply it to all gear in the game. And they did. Not saying that was my doing but people like me got us all this improved system in the first place.
Let us imagine for a moment crests would be the only requirement to upgrade gear.
It would mean:
- Crest drops likely would be reduced to keep the same scalar for player time investment/retention (aka, so we can’t upgrade any faster than now)
- Reduced crest drops would mean that crafting crests for improved crafting gear would get negatively affected.
- As a result, crafting would be less encouraged, which was an issue of the past that many crafters hated.
If we remove flightstones, this is likely going to happen. If we don’t remove flightstones, OP and others will just have to adjust to it. Like others did before. Like I did.
Irrelevant of the current system or not. It ALWAYS sucks when currencies you need again next season are reset to 0. This wasn’t any different than Valor points before the system update in SL S4 and DF S1.
So yeah, you got my comment from that topic even wrong. I don’t blame you, that can happen.

Second, it doesn’t matter if you edited your post. You originally stated in an earlier post that OP “never said to remove flightstones in general”.

And, where exactly is the problem with that?
If he´s only here for the prepatch event and TWW, the 480 gear he´s getting is already hilariously OP for leveling. Its literally superior to the S3 gear that a lot of us that skipped S4 /“Season of transmog” are going into the next expansion with. And, does it really matter if you onehit something that has 150k life for 200k or 215k?
And BTW, you can get flightstones much faster and more effectively from the weekly chests, as well as the drake and whelplings crests needed to upgrade the items.
THe way I see it the problem is, as usual, that people want all the rewards but don´t actually want to play the game to get them. And there is no way to satisfy them except giving away everything for free.
Seriously, what´s next, next prepatch event drops mythic track 5/6 gear and people complain that it´s not 6/6? 
you dont need upgrade. in 2 levels you get better level blues
