farming was annoying but you only have to do it once.
but more annoying is that you have to be 110 to be able to transmog it.
why? let us transmog this to our level alts.
The drop rate is really poor, seems like less than 1% drop chance. Often I get nothing, then I get 5 once in a blue moon and then nothing for ages. Only to get 1 again after about an hour+ of grinding packs.
I’m at 29/40, two days into the grind.
Took me about 1 hour 15 min of farming at the blood gate with a 5 man group
For me it was about 90 minutes, also at the blood gate in a 5-man. I had 8 echoes before I started the farming
I did the grind, took hours but now I’m naked on the armory

What if only one seeing that transmog on you is you and armory just shows you as you show up to others when wearing it?

might be just me but i think the mount and the tmog for the preorder are incredibly ugly. Seems alot like ethereals tho, not very fitting for a death themed expansion
Well being dead and out of body is quite an immaterial state. Look at your spirit after you die during game play (I know it is hard to die in BFA.) Undeads are an exception as the soul remains in their rotten body.
I liked how the spirit world was shown in the Spirited Away movie. When Chihiro went into the spirit world, her body started going immaterial until she ate something to attune herself to the spirit world. And vice versa, the spirits are immaterial in her world.
yeah but i would have expected something more death themed even if the tmog isnt atleast with the mount and pet.
This tmog looks like a copy past of viktor from league of legends imo, pretty out of place
Well, it’s OK, but nothing amazing. It does fit in more than running about in yeti pajamas or being dressed up as Indiana Jones though.
If the drop rate of 3-5 or even 1 a day that’s fine - I mean there is a whole year (at least) before the expansion drops anyway. it’s only a transmog so its not anything that “special” apart from cosmetic.
fair enough, but still kind of expected something else than looking like some titan construct. . Since you mentioned spirited away. i dont know the name of it but the masked ghost would be a better example for sucha tmog. Darker colors for the body and somewhat spooky mask. But this is more technological and bright looking, looking like some kind of titan construct. Might be a hint for the end of that expansion i guess, going back to titan lore in the last patch resulting in some kind of void expansion
Since a fully free n’zoth is getting squished easily like a bug in a single patch its probably going to be something like this “5 keys to open our way. 5 torches to light our path” the 5 torches/keys actually being the old gods. and us needing to look for titan and undead help to deal with the void lords
If you aren’t in a hurry I would definitely say just farm it once every 24 hours until you get that 3-5 drop, then stop. If you do it constantly you get that initial 3-5 drop and after that they just drop 1 at a time.

I also got the impression that you only get one drop in a 15-minute window, like a certain ingredient for the Mallet of Thunderous Skins.
It took me 3 hours to farm the Echoes - 1 walking around like a fool along with at least 100 others lost souls like me (5/40) and 2 in Blood gate (5-40/40).

Yep I am sure in no rush for this transmog (does not look all that great for my character concept) - I much prefer the Eternal Traveler’s hearthstone effect which is why I got the Epic version.

I think my char has 9 now, did lfr Eternal Palace and got about 5-6 of them then did some HC dungeon and WQs. I could not say when I got the others, I figure I will not farm at all but just keep on playing , at some point I will have them all… I shall try to do the other lfrs though… the queue times are awful…

I picked up 5 just doing the daily stuff on Mechagon (on one kill then nothing). Reckon as you say it is best to “just keep on playing” and you will get all you need in a few days.
The spending hours grinding them seems to be a waste imo.
