Who thought it would be a good idea to NOT have dynamic respawn rates on named mobs / quest items?
Every damn one of them is camped by 10-20 people (Mograine, Horde). It’s extremely frustrating, it’s taken me sometimes over an hour just to tag a stupid NPC.
And don’t get me started on Fungal Spores, which seem to spawn every 10 minutes - and you need 4 of them.
Sure, I could just mindlessly farm mobs 24/7, 1-60… but if I wanted that I’d be playing Korean MMOs.
This is after waiting 4h just to get in. Frustration on top of frustration.
Most incompetent software release I’ve ever witnessed. I feel like an idiot for giving my £ to Blizzard once more after all these years.
Yes, I could reroll on a less populated server… but after initially thinking of going Shazzrah, then Gehennas, then Firemaw, then Mograine (it was Medium pop near launch)… how many more times do I have to guess and hope I don’t end up in the same situation?
EDIT: Maybe spawns are dynamic? I don’t know. Not dynamic enough, for sure.

hahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha
the only way to kill name mob instantly is to have a server just for you.
the thing that you just described is the fun and for that we are here. the struggle, the frustration to go all in the same mob. at least that is fun for me
have you ever played mmo that have community interference or just retail wow that is a solo game?
dynamic respawn? where did you learned that? in everquest? in Lineage 2?, in Runescape? nooooo in retail wow that is a SINGLE PLAYER MMO!

Why was there no grouping up, then?
I’m just a little surprised (to be polite) that spawn rates are not dynamic. Seems like a major oversight
They are, just some special “bosses” such as hogger etc arent dynamic, also som pick up items
If that’s the case, I haven’t really noticed it. Anyhow, I believe the rates should be more aggressive than it currently is.
This hasn’t much to do with Classic itself, but rather bad planning from Blizzard
No it’s classic. that’s how it was when it was released, that’s how all the people wanted it, ie No Changes.

It was a long time ago so my memory might fail me, but I don’t recall any of this bs when I played it back in 2004. There were a TON more servers available, although no layering of course.
Blizz just underestimated the demand for classic thats why there arent as much servers

No there weren’t as many servers as you remember, bear in mind that WoW didn’t become really popular until TBC was released, there were nowhere near the amount of players then as there are now, but as concerns the respawn rate, that hasn’t changed.

Except it wasn’t like that back in Vanilla. The amount of people in the early zones is more than anything in WoW history.

The issue starts with the games mechanics isn’t working well with so huge servers capacity. Back in the day with a full realm, there was never any issue. But with so many thousand upon thousand flodding servers, then the old mechancis and spawn time cannot work anymore. But classic has to be classic, no matter what of course. We just need more servers.
