Agreed. Although creating more servers could definitely be problematic for the future (playerbase too spread out after initial peak).
I reckon that increasing spawn rates for quest items and unique mobs would be a better short term solution, at least in the initial zones.
Apologize to everyone and say why you are being stupid, dynamic spawn are enabled. If there were no dynamic spawns, you’d all be sitting in starting zone so far.

The fact that dynamic spawns are enabled doesn’t mean much. It’s not a toggle. How dynamic are they?
Maybe use your brain before calling people stupid
You did read what I wrote didn’t you? I said just that, but I was referring to the fact that the respawn time hasn’t changed from back then.

It’s fine imo. It’s kind of part of the fun to be competing with everyone. The fungal quest in barrens though… it takes on average 2 hours to complete. Lol

I actually like it. It’s fun when lots of people are titting around in one spot. Try current wow if you like no downtime.

There’s a middle ground between no downtime and taking 2h to get Fungal Spores

Perhaps you should with your mentality
“did you learned” OMEGALUL Pepega NA Clap
Dynamic respawns would be a temporary solution to a temporary problem. Not that I expect you to understand…
But it’s classic, that is how it was and that is what players asked for. If you want to add “quality of life” things you should play retail.

People crying about this, coomon, you are the reason that “you think you do, but you dont”. THIS IS CLASSIC! Let us leave it the way it was. Some mobs take 15 minutes to spawn, accept it!!

This is not classic. It’s an infrastructural mess. Some people are just in love with waiting forever spamming a macro, it seems.
I did play in the 2004 beta and the full duration of Vanilla, I loved it.
I played on Nostalrius, and I loved it.
On either occasions I didn’t have to experience this crap. Levelling wasn’t easy or retail-like, but at least quests could be done in a reasonable amount of time.
Not an oversight, a decision. That’s why servers are broken into layers.
And yet it’s not an effective (enough) solution. The two things aren’t mutually exclusive. Also, reading other responses, it seems respawns are dynamic to a degree.
Are you actually comparing your experience from 2004? You do realize that the amount of players are absurdly higher now right? Of course you could do quests in a reasonable time.
You are complaining on the wrong things, Blizzard should’ve added plenty more servers from the start and that would’ve made your “experience” more similar to yours from 2004.

Yes, I’m comparing two launches of the same product by the same company.
Yes, I know there are more players and I suppose Blizz knew as well.
Yes, they should have added more servers, we can all agree on that.
BUT, since we’re in the current situation and many people feel invested on a particular server (due to time spent and/or friendships), they could try and do something else about it.
Transfers might help, but I feel like tweaking respawn rates would be the most cost efficient solution.
This is how it was…this is how it should be, deal with it or log off
