Waiting forever for every single named mob - it's driving me insane

it has dynamic respawn and is working according to how many players are on the area but with vanilla standards.

apparently you want Battle for Azeroth dynamic respawn and that is not making any sense because you can play BFA for that. You don’t need to change classic because there are many people including me that we have paid subscription to wait in line to kill a mob.

All I want is to not waste my time.

BFA wastes my time too so thats out of the window.

I dont actually believe that you “paid a subscription to wait in line to kill a mob”, nobody does that. You think you are cool by being contrarian, but you arent.

hahah “paid a subscription to wait in line to kill a mob” among other things. it was an exaggeration

ok so what is your suggestion? to change this game to something else?

also all mmos of the mid 00s where like that. that is why so many people wanted to play classic.

also i am not “cool”, i have learned to play games like that and i have missed it a lot. that’s why i started classic.

Literally decreasing a spawn timer from 15 to 10 mins or 10 to 5 mins or whatever isnt going to break your precious Classic, or do you literally hold a stopwatch in your hand and check a mobs respawn? No.

yea but if that 5 minutes are your thing is a lot easier to accept it than try to change it…

The funny thing is, if Blizzard did many such small changes under the hood without telling anyone I bet 99% of players wouldnt even notice.

This.

So you need to wait for a five-headed orc mob to respawn? Take the opportunity to chat with those around, socialize! That’s the whole POINT of playing an MMORPG. That’s part of how you make new friends to play with.

If you want a clean singleplayer game experience… Play a single player game.

but there is dynamic respawn are you actually waiting at the correct location xD?

Literally the definition of playing video games.

Just plain untrue. Videogames are entertainment, wasting time is not entertaining.

You’re playing an MMO.

The entertainment is in the social aspect.

If you are looking to be entertained by a GAME experience, you should be playing a single player game.

And in particular, a different game if the game you are playing isn’t entertaining you.

Yeah it was a great social experience running around like headless chickens in a group of people that whined that they couldnt find the mob and then getting it tagged by another group.

If the social aspect is the only entertaining part of WoW why does it even have gameplay?

Sounds like a -your group- problem, not a game problem… Have you tried communicating with them?

The gameplay is an excuse to get social interaction going.

The point is, Classic, far more than retail, is about doing things as a group, because solo-play in Classic is a nightmare if you’re not a warlock or hunter - and even then grouping up makes the gameplay so much more smooth even for those classes.

If you’re trying to enjoy Classic as a solo-experience, you’re not going to have a good time.

And if you think “having an opportunity to chat with other people in your guild/group/general/those who are standing around” is a “waste of your time”, then maybe Classic isn’t for you?

It’s fine if you get something else out of it and enjoy the single player experience… but complaining about the downtime is a you problem.

If I didnt the group would not have even formed. I just wasnt in the mood to tell them my life story, I just wanted to get 30 before going to bed and it was this one single quest left in Thousand Needles.

Yeah sure chatting with people in chat is great but it doesnt automatically fixes the gameplay issues and for me both gameplay and social aspects are equally as important.

Eh, it could have been worse.

That five-headed orc elite you need to kill?

He could have had only one head.

But I agree you should be able to cast resurrect on dead enemies.

Hyperbole doesnt really help your argument.

I’ve said my piece. Don’t need to convince you or change your mind.

Steelsnap is easy to find. The patrol path isn’t that long and it moves really, really slow.

It’s a culture problem. Sure, there are somewhat social groups where you do a quest & talk for maybe 20 mins and leave. Other times they are not so social groups even to the point you won’t get an invite despite asking - forcing you to have to wait for the mob again.

You don’t get to choose which group you’re assigned to. Guild? I have a job so I’m pretty low level in comparison guess I should join another one for the 5th time. Have you tried engaging in general chat? Unless your literally 12 years old you won’t be entertained by it.

Gameplay is much more important than social interaction in a game regardless of the genre.

“the problem is everybody else”
