Nope. It wasn’t like this in vanilla. There’s far more people on the realms than was in vanilla.
Is that the best you can do? Lol
Reading comprehension, friend.
It seems you’re having trouble with that, if you followed the discussion at all
Frustration is part of vanila, thats why every quest feel more rewarding. Even if its “stupid” it needs to be challenging.
Didn’t realize you had never played an mmo before. Everyone is competing for nodes on launch, mate. Take a deep breath, relax and come back in a few days.
Nodes? What are you talking about, lol… yea I never played an MMO. Cool. Bye.
Yeah nodes, remember? One of the many things you complained about was the Fungal Spores. Those are called nodes. Imagine being salty about the respawn rate of magic mushrooms in a children’s cartoon game. Good luck in life
Nodes are usually referring to herbs / minerals… anyway, imagine being so dumb you make wild assumptions about people. My life is fine, thank you very much. Good luck with yours.
But layering fixed mob tagging right? That was one of the reasons why people wanted layering in the first place.
The second one was low queues xD
I feel like frustrated about this as well, I don’t mind waiting 10/15/30min for a mob to respawn. I don’t like camping the same mob for over 2h only to miss the tap every fricking time because it’s just crowded with people.
Its more than you deserve, id say
It’s meant to be like that. It encourages people to group up, which if my memory serves me correctly, is exactly what people asked for. So, I wouldn’t be expecting it changed any time soon, sorry.
Easy solution:
- Exit game
- Switch the option to WoW:BFA in launcher
- Press play
I checked. It helps.
Unironically though - that’s what Classic IS. It’s a frustrating game in many aspects. It’s not a new, modern game, so it can afford to be that. You either take it or leave it.
Ignore these no-change fools. They are and forever will be completely hopeless. They have no other input besides ‘go back to retail you filthy pro-change snowflake [insert assumption here] - if you’re not wasting half your day you’re not a true vanilla player gwahaha n00b’
Anyways, I agree with you. Unfortunately, its unlikely any temporary infrastructural solutions will be implemented despite already having major ones such as the really good, unabusable layering system.
When it comes to quests like those, if the area is particularly busy with players I turn and do another quest then come back. Speaking of fungal spores, I remember levelling my fishing in the pond whilst taking note of the fungal spore respawn timer. You can also just watch a TV show on the side which is mainly what I do.
If they spawned way more frequently, they wouldn’t be RARE and then why would they be rares?
And the boes they drop would be inflated on the markets etc
I take it he’s talking quest mobs. Like Herzul.
And only in starting areas as they seem to be the most congested. So I doubt the markets would be inflated and even if they were. Do you really care to see another 1000 ‘Carving Dagger of Power’ for 5s? Doubt it.
But Classic do have dynamic repawn time just as Vanilla did.
You have no idea how many mobs Ive seen spawn instantly after death.
You players really need to learn how to read. He’s talking quest mobs. Such as in the Barrens - if you couldn’t take the hint from the fungal spores complaint. They take 10-15 mins to respawn.
He has already stated and acknowledged that whilst the ‘named mobs’ i.e. quest mobs do have dynamic timers - the effectiveness of it is on the weaker side and perhaps tuning it up temporarily is best in congested beginner areas e.g. levels 1-25.
Alas, they will be none.
I feel you, yesterday I tried to do the Steelsnap quest in Thousand Needles.
This named mob has a huge patrol path across pretty much the entirety of western Thousand Needles.
Even in a 4 man group we could not cover all the paths. It took us 30 minutes to even find a corpse of the mob from which we could extrapolate a potential spawn location, but then another 15 minutes later someone else killed it 3 canyons further away, after which point we gave up.
Its simply pure insanity and depends on either hours of patience for maybe 1-2 bars of measly XP or insane luck that you just happen to path into the mob without anyone interfering. Its not fun gameplay whatsoever.
