Hello, WoW Classic team.
Lately, I’ve been checking out fastest MC clears for Alliance and noticed that most of the melee had Warchief’s Blessing buff (horde exclusive buff from turning in Rend’s head).
How could this be possible, since to be able to receive this buff you require Friendly reputation with Orgrimmar, that is not possible to have on alliance character. Is that a bug?
Please clarify this bug!

I used to play vanilla back when I was a 10 year old kid, and no one was speedrunning the game back then, why should the Alliance be able to get a Horde only Buff? They already get that Marshall Winslow thing from BRD that gives a heck ton of atk speed, though it’s less duration
This is gamebreaking if the alliance can get it for the neet no lifers, this should be fixed, so it reputation should be required to obtain it instead of a cheap cop out of just mind controlling your friend Jarvis the gnome warrior with your priest or mindcontrol cap

Even if its not a bug, it requires collusion with opposite faction to pull off and its against rules to collude with members of other faction.

This is killing Classic
This is clearly a bug plz fix this.

They said no CHANGES and now they want Warchiefs? I Bet you NO ONE ever got warchiefs on alliance back in the day, so might as well patch it out!
wtf alliance get to steal horde buffs on top of already having the superior faction bound class?!?!? alliance bias strikes again.
THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP!!!
I’m just guessing blindly, but could it perhaps be that faction-specific reputations have their own built-in equivalents on the horde side in the code itself, so your reputation with Stormwind would count as the reputation with Orgrimmar “under the hood” so when they collude with the mind control it then counts the reputation with SW as Orgrimmar reputation?
Or do the mind controlled targets counts as the pet of the one doing the mind control, so only the one doing the mind control needs the reputation for it to count?
Just a few random theories thrown out there, I’ve never tried it because I stay true to the faction I’ve chosen (at least in Classic) so I can’t really say or try it.
i hope blizzard looks into this bug, why would ally be even able to get a horde only buff lol
If you ever try WCB on ally u basically never wanna play without it.
However from what I’ve heard Horde lose paladin blessings achieved the same way (Mind control) upon engaging a boss, both of Horde getting Pally blessings and Alliance getting WCB create a pay to win situation and makes logging far more tedious and makes the player pool effectively much smaller.
Can you imaing being this naiv. Its blizzlike. Stop crying. And No Ally dont have Marshall buff. As they fixed it.
Do not touch this. For All I care make it so alliance dont have to MC to get it.
when a gnome get MC’d by a troll priest, that Gnome become thrall’s Slave, and So the watchief give his blessing to the new comrade.
OP, just an advice - if you want a better chance for your topic to be seen by Blizz employees, write the summary better, so it’s more descriptive, like “Bug: Warchief’s Blessing buff on Alliance players” or similar.
Horde already found something new to cry about? Your victim complex continues to impress me.

If what OP says is true, it’s a genuine problem that needs to be fixed. And you can take your childish behavior and impressions where the sun does not shine.
What did you say? I can’t hear you over the sound of Horde crying.
IMO if this is true it’s worth investigating how the buff is acquired. If they really use mind control by 20 hordes at the same time then pop the buff then respect, this is pretty hard to pull off. It should be tested in the reference client tho if the same would be possible there. If there is some bug which allows them to get the buff through a hacky method this should be patched ofc.
You get wcb by being mind controlled by a horde priest while the buff goes out.
And no, it’s not cross faction collusion since most people who get the buff on alliance own a second account to level a horde priest on, so they can mind control their main. Unless colluding with yourself is a thing, I guess?

That is still colluding though?
