Is that stated anywhere?

Imagine a culture where people firmly believe that for their loved ones to pass to the afterlife, their body has to be consumed by their relatives. To be “forever absorbed into the rest of the family” or something along these lines.

I guess that cannibalism doesn’t have to be inherently “evil”.
