everyone has always played horde until in wotlk everyone has always played alliance.
I can’t help you if you still didnt understand that your solution is making the problem even worse. But i leave you there
Everyone? No
Some of them? Yes
A lot of them? Maybe
And thats your imbalance right there.
What’s your solution then? We can either do what private servers have been doing for a decade and ACTUALLY WORKS or try to find a different solution. It won’t be getting worse and to think that it would be is moronic.
I played Horde since vanilla release, swapped over to Alliance during PS - and also playing ally in classic (due to faction unbalance) that is no excuse - and I coudnt care less about your queue times, if you want a faster one reroll alliance.
the solution is that you sit in queue for 30 minutes or play alliance and help fixing the problem
You mean the private servers that regularly end up with 80% or so of the player base as Horde? Great idea I can’t immagine why people wouldn’t want to copy those.
It’s set in stone. More people care about horde racials instead of a balanced queue time.
- Horde: Better racial, longer queues, more wins in random BGs
- Alliance: Underdog in random BGs, worse racials, instant queues.
Make your choice. The grass is always greener on the other side
Anyway, its prepatch now, ally players are caped, wait for lvl 70 bgs.
Didn’t expect this to blow up so much. Thanks for the discussion.
Some people have pointed out that alliance gets ganked 24/7 in the open world in exchange for picking their race. I cant confirm this, its usually both sides and have nothing to do with Battleground queues either.
When I’m playing on Patchwerk-EU we had both factions constantly ganking / purging worldbuffs or killing lowlevels from both factions. This is a player problem, not a game problem. On Venoxis-Horde its much more alliance sided, where they have dedicated alliance guilds with the sole purpose to ruin the game experience for low levels.
But let’s not get out of topic here. The whole point is to have the option to queue for mercenary mode or have some faction vs. faction in place. I don’t mind either, but any solution to 30-50min afking in Cities is atleast an option to combat queues, and this is just the lower end. With the introduction of 58 boosts and players rerolling aswell as TBC Horde dominance this will just get worse with avg. 1hour+ queues for bgs.
Catering the user experience for the low % who shouts #nochanges is just a short-sided view & there is yet a single downside to be posted that would overweigh the positives of introducing systems to combat queue times.
What’s your excuse wanting to stare male character then?
I rerolled to alliance because of BG queues, together with my friends. That’s the main reason!
We all leveled up together again and we enjoyed it a lot.
It’s been common knowledge for years about alliance to horde BG queue times don’t know why you are so surprised
Mercenary mode is absolutely not an option. I would quit immediately if that happened. However, if blizzards wants to give horde one way transfers to alliance at a low price or for free, I would be fine with that.
If horde want mercenary mode there would have to be something amazing to entice people to roll Allience otherwise the faction will die and it will be 100% horde all servers.
If mercenary mode is introduced I want Allience to gain.
Double honor, double conquest, lower rating requirements for gear and a 10% stamina buff permanently until a time where the factions are 50/50
Otherwise why play Allience to get 10v1 out in the world, work harder to achieve the same arena rating due to racials and spend more time looking for groups due to lower pop. we need to be able to defend ourselves
thats not really an argument, there is servers where alliance outnumbers horde by a lot.
its individual for every server.
Big +1 mate… it’s literally unplayable for a vast number of people that want to do BGs.
Faction vs Faction or mercenary queueing would be THE best QOL change Blizzard can do to entice players to play TBC rather than quit the game.
go back to retail.
I have accumulated roughly 100 days played in classic, several 60s with ranks & gear. In addition to this, a lot of old mates are coming back to play TBC with me. We’ve always been playing horde since 2005. Your solution is to simply do nothing, leave the game broken - because why? You’re salty about your classic experience? Try a horde one, playing 18hrs a day in p2 looking for anyone to kill.
In retrospect, playing alliance would have been 100x more enjoyable - All this is besides the point, the game is broken atm - fix it please.
I am completely dumbfounded by the lack of logic you are giving as to why you would NOT fix the queue times in TBC.
Not every server but the vast majority there is what 5 servers in EU PvP realms out of 29 where Allience are dominant by a margin of 5% or more for horde there is 13 servers.
Allience have 1 server where they are completely dominant
Horde have 4 servers where they are completely dominant
So what I have said does hold weight for majority of the playerbase
Biiiiiiiiiiig yikes right there pal. Do you want to play a game with only one faction? This is how you accomplish it.
Must be really upsetting hunting in packs, completely laying waste to every alliance territory - at one point destroying a server by camping major cities - while the alliance have to hide and avoid being in contested zones due to the sheer number of hordes out for blood.
Myself as an alliance player accepted this because I knew we would have faster BG queues, but now that BGs actually matters to people who aren’t die hard rankers, it’s suddenly a major issue and the game is “unplayable”, and joining BGs are “impossible”.
Be a part of the solution instead or enjoy the queues.
