Doesn’t matter, since it’s cross-realm.
Race balance wont suddenly make people re-roll Alliance… It’s not a short terms solution for the current queue issues that will break the whole TBC era for horde PVP players.
You do know how queues work right? If you have a 30 minute queue that would imply there’s about twice as many Horde queuing for BGs than Alliance. Population numbers in Classic are mostly derived from logs (at least since they broke the census addon early in Classic) which don’t distinguish between alts and mains of the same player so they aren’t exactly accurate. For example I would count as 2 and some resets 3 Alliance players.
I, for one, am delighted to see these minmaxers are having a bad time.
Nope. You chose to play the easy and overpowered faction, you deal with the queue times. Have fun.
Just to make one thing clear: I do not talk about you personally and I do not want to claim your intentions are not based on decency.
However, the discussion here appears to be plainly hypocritical. Enjoying the supposedly “cool” and “stylish” faction with the superior racials without paying a price?
I personally don’t care about factions; played both. I care about fairness. Maybe the Horde racials are not that much stronger as often claimed, but they are. Fix this dysbalance first. Should have been considered from the beginning. Every Man For Himself and Shadowmeld in WOTL form to alliance.
By the way, concerning those queue times I am genuinely sorry for the true Horde players while I cannot deny a certain malicious joy concerning the min/max free-riders…
Horde was much more popular than Alliance in TBC times, difference is battlegroups. Similar to now PVE realms were more alliance heavy back then, which is overwhelmingly the case right now too.
All the pointless bickering thread is meaningless anyway, its definitely not fun waiting 30-40mins for a BG but that has been the case for a long time. The lowest BG queue times by a long way was during the first day of prepatch with bugged honor, Horde getting into games in 10-20mins.
Now the queues are pretty consistently 30mins, with games even in AV running 24/7 (that was not the case in the last months of classic).
Don’t even bother trying to discuss with these Zombie-bots and their minions.
If Blizzard wants the $(dough)$ to keep rolling in, they’ll fix the queue situation.
All this nonsense about picking faction and knowing things in advance is beyond ridicule.
Add to that the fact that there is 52% horde 48% Alliance on EU… it literally CAN’T get more balanced than it is already.
Clearly alliance are just not interested in PvP, fine by me - just let us play as mercenaries so we can play BGs.
Why would an alliance player cry because horde’s are also able to actually play the game and have a life btw? I can’t get my head around that…
I say no to mercenary mode these horde zombies who min/max made their bed now they can lie in it.
Comparing pve logs is not accurate representation for PvP as vanilla there was reasons to go Allience for pve and premade groups due paladins being better for organised play. your way off, how many more people have rerolled horde since pre-patch now they have no disadvantages these players won’t be even on the logs.
You have three options
-
re-roll Allience to balance factions and enjoy better queue times
-
Pay the price and stay overpopulated faction enjoy waiting in a queue for having advantages due to racials.
-
Quit.
I really hope blizzard introduce horde to Allience transfers but the majority of you min/max babies won’t re-roll anyway the queues will remain long.
I rolled alliance exclusively so I can pvp in bgs at the expense of far better racials in arena. Merc mode is not going to happen in classic.
Stupid question, as your example if you have no choice but to play a female. Why would anyone make pick a female to character to play unless hoping for freebies from some poor sad males who think they are female irl?
I would like to move but its not possible. Is a any info they gonna let us to do in future?
Why would I leave my t3 scarab lord warrior behind? Don’t make assumptions about me if you know nothing please.
I play both factions and don’t get the hate for the other faction either. Ever thought about the idea that some people play on several servers with different factions? Some of my friends play horde, some play alliance. I’d like to play with both. And sure the que times when playing on my main is great, but the motivation to queue on my horde alt if we want to play some bgs is literally zero with 1 hour queues going into TBC.
Well you chose option two then you can stay the overpowered faction if you want just don’t moan about the queues times when you play an overpopulated faction and if you play both factions like you said why even moan about the queue in the first place. Keep ur scarab lord T3 warrior for pve all that’s useless in PvP anyway season 1 resilience blues will be better and play the underpopulated faction instead as Allience need more pvpers but my guess is your too much of a min/maxer to let go of the advantages of playing horde in PvP
Silly suggestions like adding mercenary mode or horde Vs horde does nothing but hurt the underplayed faction instead of addressing the actual problem.
Human racial : it’s to overpowered in PvP to pass on it. If you want to compete at high rating in WOTLK, Human is mandatory if your class can go for it.
The Human racial is revamped : Perception is a passive (less powerfull than TBC so it’s a nerf), but they get a new racial : a baseline PvP trinket that doesn’t take item slot, it’s a spell.
So, while your opponent had to equip a PvP trinket, you can go with 2 PvE Trinket. There’s no other racial in the game that provide the ability to get 1 more item than the opponent. And since PvE trinket in WOTLK are insanely broken in PvP, everyone will change faction for Alliance.
Blizzard created the faction change in WOTLK (you pay some $ and you can change your character faction and race). I guess it will be available in WOTLK Classic.
First of all, I’m sure 99.999999999% of all alliance players don’t have a t3 scarab lord character so they will be more inclined to swap to horde if they lose the ONLY advantage they have over the other faction.
Second, you babies are whining about the only thing that horde has as a disadvantage to get “fixed” in a way that destroys one of the main core pillars of the game’s design: war between two factions.
If you can’t see how taking away the 1 perk of playing an alliance when horde has 100 perks that favor them wouldn’t lead to more alliance players changing factions or quitting the game, your brain has no capacity to understand any correlation.
On top of that, having merc mode or same faction battles will NOT make instant queues for both factions. It will even out both factions’ queue times. In other words: alliance players will ALSO have to wait in the queue for a while, especially during off-hours.
Merc mode is one of the most disgusting retail features that have harmed retail and turned it into a soulless garbage game.
Even discussing this on CLASSIC forums is a shame and I can’t describe anyone who would defend such a disgrace for TBCC since it would be against the forum rules.
I am just disgusted.
Yeah I remember this there was a ton of Allience too I barely even saw horde in arena and almost everyone was human.
Half these guys complaining will no doubt be humans in wotlk then will complain about Allience queue times.
This is the main reason I’m against it it’s punishing the underdog/underpopulated faction in PvP just because too many people went for the bis class/race now want the game to benefit them even more and punish an entire faction for their mistakes.
Now I’m all for balancing the factions for PvP like allow free transfers to Allience until the queue times balance out it will be more healthy for the faction system as a whole
I played on EU- twisting nether for a good 12 years.
It was 40% alliance - 60% horde first.
Then during wotlk it became 70% a - 30% horde
After they nerfed EMFH and made the horde racials better, it became 20% a - 80% horde during wod.
Currently it is 0.01 a - 99.99% horde since WoD. And that 0.01% alliance is a few alts of some horde players.
So basically, tens of thousands of people changed faction to the more fotm faction in every expansion until it became a one faction server that is only the OP faction.
The majority of people pick the powerful faction, just because it is more powerful, not because how their characters look. This is a scientific fact. Anyone who says “well i pick orc because i like green” etc is either a very exceptional person or an absolute hypocrite that lies to earn more advantages.
ps: I play an orc shaman. I’m not a hypocrite, I’m not a lying prick. I picked it because the racials were too OP. Otherwise I would pick troll cuz I like them more. I won hundreds of pvp fights because of resisting stuns over and over and over. See? I have some honesty.
That sounds about right players will always choose the path of least resistance to find the easiest way to do something instead of the best way.
It’s evident all the way through classic
Raiding
The best way:
No world buffs, no bis list, preferably no looking up tactics as it provides more of a challenge to kill bosses and proper progression of how the game was intended to be played
Easy way:
World buffs, bis lists skip entire phases of boss fights zerg everything down in an hr
Leveling
The best way:
teaming up with friends doing quests out in the world making groups doing dungeons
Easy way:
Paying mage/paladin to kill everything in dungeon while you stand at the entrance or buy a paid boost and level alone.
PvP
The best way:
Play the underpopulated faction roll a class you enjoy and a race without caring about a racial benefit, do arena with friends,PvP with a couple of friends
The easy way:
Roll the faction with better PvP racials Min/max class, join full premade of geared strangers to farm pugs and bend against other premades, play arena with a complete stranger just because he’s geared and skilled.
