That’s not to say everyone likes me though. It’s the green text, sets them off 
I think it’s hard sometimes with any action taken on accounts when it’s so vague a reason or description. Obviously some know what they’ve done but others are in the dark.
I’d hate to lose my account or get a black mark on my account.

I’m not gonna read the entire thread BUT
my bud got a 7 day silence and the only reason he thinks of might been an allegedly harmless “yo mama” joke as he is not much of a talker usually.
And I’ve never seen him being rude.
Either way - the silence things is odd. Another bud of mine got silence (note - silences not bans) - for, in his opinion, making lfm groups because he doesnt use chat otherwise lol

yea its a broken report system.
the best thing that a wow player can do in 2025 is to stopp using ingame chat for good.
im not trying to say anything bad but its the reality.
even if someone sais the worst things to you ,. you should not answer them just report and ignore in game
till the day they fix and replace this broken report system

yes - they said they got 2 obbious AI responses.
i told them to look for mails in spam or whatever or look thru their support part of account - no info of “why” the silences.
Which is bad - there should be minimal due process - also showing someone a slur/insult/f-word could possibly stop like half the appeals if someone is able to take an L.
Also they claimed no “popup” warnings of bad language either.

In a previous guild a fellow member got a silence, and he could only do keys in a full premade. However he deserved his silence, he had been a naughty boy.
There is no pop up if you swear. However if you are on the receiving end of swearing esp in whispers it is picked up by the system pre warning that it’s offensive.
In game chat? In what channel you guys talk other than raid and battleground chats.
Its so silent for me.
/Global is silent even tho there are thousand of people in the chat.

I’ve never had one but my understanding is that you can’t use the group finder, or talk in public channels.
I found an old wiki post that suggests:
Silenced players cannot:
- Talk in Instance Chat (Raid, Party, and Battlegrounds)
- Talk in global channels that are auto joined (such as General or Trade)
- Create Calendar Invites/Events
- Send in-game mail
- Send Party Invitations
- Send War Game Invitations
- Send Invitations to Duel
- Update a Premade Group Listing
- Create a New List for a Premade Group
yeah that’s the issue - apparently now silence doesn’t allow you to do premade groups?
I think the last bullet point covers that. So we went as a guild group for a few weeklies for the naughty boy.
