What do you want to be done with the levelling system? There is XP buffs coming next month that virtually make it a sail. The scaling still exists so mobs and bosses don’t get 1 shot. What actually do you want done with levelling to break it even more?
Do you want 1 dungeon to ding you 40 levels? Perhaps be able to kill bosses in 3 seconds?
It’s this mentality that makes the game a joke. An utter joke, and if they listen remotely to this feedback they’ll break the game.
Yes, levelling in the long run faces problematic areas, particularly as expansions keep coming and the level cap keeps getting raised, and that is the only problem I see with it.
The Class development. But if they focus on it the way they focused since Legion, nothing will be better.
I’ve spoken at great length about the leveling system in other threads, but the short version is that WoW’s leveling system doesn’t deliver in terms of story progression or character progression, nor does it really teach you about the game. If you have ever played games like GW2, FFXIV or Blade and Soul you’ll see how amazing a leveling system can be, and how lackluster WoW’s is by comparison.
It’s not even about making it faster. I’ve been on private servers where they have increased the leveling speed by 10 or even 20 times. Guess what? It didn’t make the leveling process more interesting, it just reduced the amount of time it takes to get to level cap.
Classic… Just Classic … Nothing else. Not interested in anything else. I am only maintaining my sub so I can play Classic. So yay !! Classic as soon as possible.
I’m certainly not wasting any of my time with the current game expansions. Haven’t played them for like an age. And what with scaling… Way to kill progression in a game. Sad isn’t it that I have to wait to be able to play the game that I loved so much and now is but a fading shadow of its former self. Next year… next summer… Not long now. Fingers crossed.
More phone games, pls! I cant get my PC with me in the toilet to make a poo-poo.
class design.
but not the way they have been “focusing” on it since WoD came out pls.
everything else is irrelevant to me because if I enjoy playing my class and I don’t get bored pressing my buttons, I enjoy any type of content.
that’s the reason why I enjoyed WoD a lot more then Legion despite Legion having much more content, ofc MoP class design was way better than WoD but WoD was not as garbage as legion in terms of class design.
WHAT DO YOU WANT BLIZZARD TO FOCUS ON?
Something new for Diablo - PC content, be it a Diablo 4 or an expansion for Diablo 3, but something is urgent before franchise goes down the trash.
Something new for StarCraft franchise - why not a non-RTS game?!
Focus on Overwatch as a game, improving its overall enjoyment for every player (there are limitations since you can’t please to everyone) and not only on ESports.
Revive the Heroes of the Storm since it seems it had a, somewhat, downfall.
Regarding WoW, reduce its RNG component, specially on gear.
Class balance.
(and more stuff here thx 20 char min)
- Faction Balance (High elves to alliance eg, warmode bonuses (no 30% isn’t gonna make anyone queue up for gankfest by hordes of horde))
- Class fantasy. Give back unique class quests and abilities, make each class unique in both pvp and pve.
- Economy. AH sucks, Lagfest and outdated. Must be able to search for items regarding of suffix, eg you search ‘’‘of the bear’’ (shift click an item) and it displays of the bear first and next all the other random enchantments of the item so you can post your item at your price taking into consideration your competition.
- Professions. Yes, make them matter again. Glyphs, head enchants, special enchants for enchanters, extra socket for BS, engineer lasers and LW leg enchants, tailoring proc enchant, alchemy extra potions etc. (BC/WOLK/MOP)
- Fix melee supremacy in pvp. Ranged classes with low mobility should be able to cast while moving. (Or make melee auto attack castable 1.5 sec…right?))
found the problem, there.
I got new Phone…
Let s go…
My answer is simple. Quests, and plethora of them made with good stories. Side quests with meaningful purpose like getting some stuff in Westfall to feed hungry people and stuff like that.
No, i am not being sarcastic. These things really are the stuff that matters. It feels these days that everyone can take on the big bad, but there is bot many quests, that REALLY matter for the people of Horde or Allience.
Yes. Big bad getting wiped means in the long run, but theres always the next coming, and between all this, its the small things that really feel important.
Good stories are what i wish, with purpose of making Azeroth a better place to be for its residents.
Oh… Just wanted to add, that scaling does not brake progression or anything in any way. Level is just a number. Progression is when you get better and gain more abilities. More gear maybe. Your character gets better on what he or she is doing. This is progression. Not the number of levels you have.
Scaling only makes outleveling content not possible, though Warcrafts bracket aproach brakes this a bit, it is still better than strict levels. Nobody needs to be able to farm stuff without need to have difficulties on the progress other than time and time is also required, to make people really invest in something like profession. Who cares about atuff that anyone can get in few days. Economy needs systems, that make it hard to get stuff and gold. Players other than the too high level, need the scaling to still get enjoyment out of game without need to be griefed by high levels killing low levels mobs that one requires for quests, just to get some mog or to get in node.
Scaling should be happening in every place without needless brackets on it. Instanced content scaling needs to work so that the leader of the group determines the level of mobs.
The proof is the obvious plunging sub numbers. They are careful now not to invest too much of investors’ money in case the next one flops as well.
There is your proof of them not caring anymore. They have to not care as much and they have to not make so much effort. Effort = money spent on the xpac. Less subs means less money coming in = far less money for content = far less of a chance of losing money.
This is also why you can buy your things now. THis game is not about earning things anymore. Not when you can buy them.
The scaling fits in their model of making you put the time in so the subs keep rolling over.
When the first mob in an expansion is as powerful as the last one there is no progression and it becomes work. A tedious grind to the top. I refuse to do the grind they want me to do. I refuse. And once again i have unsubbed.
Only this time i am thoroughly disgusted with the game and the grind involved in doing stuff. Its no longer a game. Its a fricken job.
Poor raiders. Getting mats for flasks ect. That crap takes a lot of time.
They have no incentive to fix anything as long as people like you pay, and then dont even play. Its a win for them. They get your money and dont even have to pay for the infrastructre to host you. You are part of the problem.
I want blizzard to focus on mobile games…
I would want them to focus one problem at the time and not go after quick cash with mobile crap.
I would also like them to abandon the 0 to 100 attitude when buffing and nerfing stuff its the worst design philosophy in wow after pruning stuff from the game which i also would like to stop.
that’s the reason why I enjoyed WoD a lot more then Legion despite Legion having much more content, ofc MoP class design was way better than WoD but WoD was not as garbage as legion in terms of class design.
Quoted for emphasis. Same for me.
I would want them to focus one problem at the time and not go after quick cash with mobile crap.
That’s partly why I made this thread. It seems like the majority of the changes Blizzard are making to the game are bandaid fixes to various problems. In doing so they are trying to patch up the whole game at the same time instead of focusing on a single element. These quick fixes don’t address the underlying problems the game has and usually cause more problems than they solve.
