What do you wish NOT to see back in 9.0?

rep wouldnt be bad if could actully grind it of mobs in world or dungeons or even raids(could ealsy make a normal mode group to farm trash then).
it being only dailieds/wq’s which give way to little rep is issue.

Even though I don’t mind that way of getting rep, I do agree there need to be more ways to earn it. Nobody should be shoe-horned into an activity they don’t like; there should always be alternatives.

Agreed. The daily chores are boring and I will not bother wasting my time on them. Enough other fun games. If 9.0 follows bfa with such things than it’s the end of wow for me.

Many of the people here have no lives, which is fine I don’t have a life as well. But when you do, you don’t want to spend your precious time on chores every day.

I mention it because such mechanics will prevent wow from striving. Yes it was popular back in the day, gaming was only for the most hardcore of nerds, now it’s for normies with lives as well. Just look at Fortnite, it’s free so ACCESSIBLE, and it’s quick fun. You can hop in a match within a minute. Look at the LOL TeamTactics or something, instant fun, why not make of wow pvp a 2nd mode, which you can queue up instantly and stands alone from wow. Not to replace wow pvp, but something instant without gear, maybe that brings in new players I dunno.

yeah agreed, hate them because it’s just a time gate, let me grind as much as i want, don’t let me hit a wall T.T

while we’re at it let’s get rid of time gating in general, it can be interesting to have that 1 or 2 hings locked behind dailies, but alot of content is gated behind daily quests/rep/weekly resets(?). Was this near to quit because i couldn’t just farm essences…

Allied Races, once upon a time new races were just that. We never had to grind the same WQs over and over to get rep for new classes when they’ve been added as a new feature for the game.

Remove worldquests, and bring back dailies. A new set of dailies each day just like in the old days.

O no, I personally do not agree. Dailies are trash imo because all quests are horrific in wow or any mmorpg, it’s always the same boring stuff. World Quests as well BUT there are kill 1 dude quests, which I don’t have to read or figure out or spend minutes doing boring chores, I go there hit him a few times with other folks and it’s done.

I’m back in the game for a few weeks. Bought some play-time with gold.

When I returned and started in the 2 new zones I got negatively surprised how much time I spend on those while doing WQs + some odd dailies. 1½-2 hours for both zones. But I need the rep for pathfinder so I have to do as many WQs and side quests as possible.
Let me do 4-6 dailies in a smaller area and get 1-2k rep or so like we did in MoP. Much faster, more alt-friendly, and more time to focus on other parts of the game imho.
As it is now most of the time is used on transportation from one point to another (I know it will be somewhat faster once I can fly).

This. Just cut the amount of WQs/Dailies in half and double the rep gain. Having more chores to do for the same or lower amount of rep we got in the past expansions doesn’t make the content more fun.

“But Uruk then people will complain there’s nothing to do!”

Yeah sure, it’s not like there’s a bunch of other stuff to do in the game or anything. Doing bunch of worthless WQs/dailies for pitiful rewards is definitely a fun and engaging content I want more of. /s

wq’s are better then dailies, or well can be. if its more unique ones, not go kill X or 12 smaller X ones.
They could be done well to tie in with invasion/event type stuff but most are just generic go kil 1 ir 12 x mob ones.

Also when is this forum going to correctly show my lvl, it finnaly updated when i hadnt been 55 for few days now. but still lags behind

Sharding, soulless items (titanforging), scaling, daily chores, the absence of a hybrid class (class homogeneization), flight, sponge blow to items on every patch …

PS why as a ret paladin i cant equip sword and shield to defend a flag in arathi basin? wtf

  • A steady progression, not RNG on RNG on RNG.
  • No weapon restrictions on abilities. Made sense with Artifacts, but not anymore (cough Frost 2h).
  • Catch up mechanics are through the roof, i already got the same ilvl as the gear from Azshara raid normal mode and have not put a single step into it.
  • Azerite gear.

That I agree with but World Quests did give more rep back in legion. They just want more /played i think

If Blizzard takes this thread seriously there wouldn’t be a 9.0 to speak of.
I’m sure that each individual thinks that their idea is fantastic and would greatly improve the game, but when taken together you get something that barely can be called a game.

I burn out mentally faster with the WQ system. I really like this game despite its flaws. But since WoD I’ve felt Blizzard is forcing me to spend more and more time on repetitive stuff in the game than ever before. That said I dont mind repetitve stuff. But the amount of it is increasing in each new expansion and major patch.

WoD Not really, not to much atleast. legion and bfa theyve gotten idea that you can ever ever be done with anything and needs more timegates and way more rng which is not something people asked off. Cause god forbid could work towards something or finish something. Or jsut want to spend time on what you want to do, but they want you to do evrything, if want flying/legiondaries/ap/be relevant for raid/whatever

AP GRIND!!! I just want to go online and enjoy the content that I want to. Instead I just have to spend 1.5 hours every day just to be able to participate to the content that I want to enjoy. You can’t just be highly competitive in anything without the artifact level.

Unrewarding reps that are still required for meta achievements.

In previous expansions, reputation got you a few nifty cosmetics or mounts at the end of it all. Legion lamentably put them behind paragon chests for the most part, and the Army of the Light mount is a ridiculous gold sink, but at least they were options for the dedicated.

Here in BFA, we have to get reputation with the Champions of Azeroth and Tortollan seekers(even though their Legion equivalent, the Kirin Tor, demanded nothing like that). In spite of it, their emissary selections are dreadfully boring.

Seriously? Dungeon gear? No nifty skins or anything at least somewhat cool?

The one major system I’d like to see go away is artifact power. Ever since its introduction it’s felt like a very artificial and arbitrary excuse not to provide desirable rewards for a lot of activities, because artifact power fills that slot instead. But the problem is that AP effectively levels itself with the catchup system, and most of its rewards are incredibly short-term as a result. It feels like a completely inorganic part of the experience. Less “here’s a cool reward you can get for playing the game” and more “here’s a system that will make people run on the treadmill for longer”

I’d love to see AP go away and be replaced with something more like the justice/valour system. Something substantial that doesn’t invalidate its rewards via nothing more than a few weeks of time passing.

Flying. It’s a PvP-breaker.
Azerite.
Lame-azzed storylines.
That irritating spectral dwarf, drooling over the world like it’s a naked schoolgirl.
Did I mention flying?
