What is next for the TBC cash shop?

I rest my case and in doing so, allow others to see my point

They should just make gear drops EXTREMLY low.

Then sell bis gear in game shop.
That You can buy with in game currency.
That You can buy with tokens.
That You can buy for real money.

I’m sending Blizz my CV.

Tbh I don’t care if the add draenei or be boost ever as long as they give me racechange so I can boost whatever and then make it one of those 2… Would it be dick move from them sure but personally I believe that people who can’t spend 40€ once a while on their hobby have bigger issues than a cash shop in a videogame…

Sliders for character customization… hopefully.

Hexx like big tiddiez.

Ahaha no, no, I kid, I kid!!!

i dont ? exackly because im not gonna waste time on leveling there. and so majority of playerbase who quit before they hit level 30 . i would play it if i had option to buy boost - more i would likely instantly buy 3-4 of those.

i will play TBC though solely because of boost  if it wasnt for boost i would completly ignore it.

and in before you talk to me how leveling matters - been there dont that - have 50 chars leveled in retail over 16 years of playing . get there before talking about how leveling matters. at this point its just waste of time sinceo nly endgame matters.

But you play a Demon Hunter…your word and opinion is about as much use to us as a chocolate fireguard. Do you also watch anime, know all the different anime characters in existence, listen to EDM and drink G-fuel all day?

Classic is p2w with the rampant gold buying/selling, gdkp. There’s nothing in the classic wow that money cant buy. You can get T3 with irl money, you can get r14 gear with afking in AB. You don’t even have to play the game to “complete” it.

Edit: Before people jump on me, Retail is the same.

Maybe demon hunters?

DH in TBC as playabe class ? that alone would bring tens of thousands of people into dead tbc realms.

very good idea !

I shoulen’t have said that i shoulen’t have said that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=498HkRM77gg

yes and its kind of ruining the game.

world & lfg chat is spammed with “WTS BOOST” messages.

even though there would be a healthy low level population on my server its incredibly hard to get a group for any dungeon going mainly due to the reason that half or more of the low lvl players are getting afk boosted through dungeons. its not fun.

100% agree. I was leveling in february and there were so few dungeon groups. SM was only exception. Even then when i posted LFM SM, instead of levelers boosters whispered to me that hey buy boost now.

I installed Global Ignore List addon last week and I’ve blocked over 15k chat messages that include words “boost” or “pull”. I initially only had the word boost as a filter but then I realized that more veteran boosters know this and stopped including the boost word in the ads.

I thought that people wanted to play classic, leveling is a very big chunk of it. I don’t understand how people don’t see dungeon boosting as gameruining.

yes exactly my though. leveling is like half the game, you meet new people everyday, run some dungeons and make friends. At least that was my experience back when classic started and there were no boosts available.

i need to get that addon !

You surely do, we all can see. Here is the argument: Blizzard already made a game about the warcraft universe, where you can reach easier endgame content with less effort. It is called Shadowlands now. Feel free to join them and spend your money there, what holds you back? You can buy there countless boosts, gold, realm transfers, mounts, pets, everything, what you need. You want to buy advantages here, in the classic wow, where most of the players are just chilling, leveling, roleplaying, and doing content in a much slower pace, people, who asked for classic, because they don’t like how retail works right now. Why should they run 2 retail-like systems? I undersatnd, that you would like to pamper your damaged ego with the possibility to make the game easier for you, against players who just want to play in their own pace, but classic wow is not that game, this simply doesn’t fit your needs. This is why the community asked for classic wow, this was the main reason behind their request, they didn’t want ingame shop, whack-a-mole-like leveling experience, and the stupid endgame gearing mechanics.

How agressive can it be, to state the clear thing, that oldschool WoW was always a time consuming game, in fact, the whole genre is about the rewarding of your time investment. If you disagree with the very basis of the game or its genre, you probably should look for another game, not trying to change it.

Oh, sweet summerchild… They did, you said well. Their main audience are the people, who are ready to pay over and over again for a game, what they already bought, with the expansion packs, what they already bought as well, with subscription, what is paid by those people, the same ones, who can buy literally ANYTHING in the retail version of the game. You should be proud of your consumer mind, little white knight, and let the credit card do its job: leveling, gearing, looking for group instead of you, because you don’t have time* to play, right? Retail is your best choice, seize the opportunity and let the “jobless basement dwellers” enjoy their oldschool, slow version WoW, with living communities and without ingame shop, what they asked for. You are actually just one click away from your heaven, where you can skip 200 hours of playing with 1 character boost and 20 wow tokens. Be a good boy, be the audience what blizzard needs, and buy Bobby a new ship, maybe they give you next year another trash xpack for 70 bucks.

Be patient, we will soon have a race/faction change for 10 coins in the shop.

Why are you taking my words out of context and react to them?

Why are you supporting Blizzard when you are so upset about what audience they target?

Yes, I will gladly spend money for what they offer, its my money after all. Cash shop is very limited in WoW in comparison to its competitors so no problem. I’ve been playing and enjoying WoW for last 15 years, Im glad to support Blizzard for the fun they provide me.

I am pretty happy customer because I havr fun in game. Its not strange. What is strange is you supporting company you evidently despise.

Don’t be so biased. Its not your game

Big YES to this. I hope they are being smart and only allow horde to transfer though.

Being blizzard they would do it both ways for both factions :woman_facepalming:

I despise trends, not the company, or their workers. The trend to fire hundreds of employees, while the CEO get 200 million $ bonus (only 100 million now, how sad ), and the trend where the customers become less and less every year, for the same price. I don’t buy the xpacks, because they are trash, and I don’t buy anything in a classic ingame shop, because this wasn’t in the original WoW and I don’t dont support the changes and I don’t want to give Blizzard a positive feedback about the implementation of it, but I pay the sub price, because I still enjoy the game itself, I really appreciate the artwork and the technical background of the running game.

I know, it must be hard to understand with 80 IQ, that the world is not black and white, but this is a clear message towards the company, to let the game run, because it’s good, but stop the unlimited monetization, because there is no demand for it and it affects the game in a negative way. They see clearly what and how they can sell for the people, they probably have better market proffesionals than the governement itself, and your kind of people send a message, that “we buy any garbage content for a full game price, no matter what you do, just put it in your virtual shops”. If they would work for better game, the 10 million people (who left the game in the past years) would come back, and pay the same amount for blizzard, as the few consumer-minded peasants do now. The audience of your kind caused the playerbase shrink to this small, they lost players even during covid, what is pretty impressive. I don’t blame Blizzard that they try to sell 1,5 hours of work and 2 pixels for a full game price, this is what their goal, they are a company after all. I blame the people like you, who don’t want a better game or a better company, they just want useless ingame trash items and purchaseable game-breaking mechanics.

I waited for your

, about why the parallel running warcraft MMORPGS should be both filled with ingame cashgrab stuffs, where one version already offers countless overpriced purchasable services and the other has almost none (except the 1 char boost/acc). Why on Earth should they create the same exact mechanic in both games, when the main reason behind the classic WoW was to avoid the retail’s mistakes, including the unlimited monetization, what has clear game-breaking effect.

But to be honest, I’m not interested in your “civilized arguments”, after I saw, how this consumer behavior already destroyed one warcraft MMORPG, and I’m somewhat a realist after all. I’m not fooling myself with the idealism, that your kind suddenly understand how these companies and game developement works, after they were uncapable for this in the past 17 years.

This is classic internet user stuff. Create their own conclusions that no one said and making a point out of it.

Can’t say I agree with your thinking. Of course it’s your money, no idea why people come off with this line. Possibly the first and only time I’m ever going to use the word simp to describe someone. Selfish thinking, as long as you’re ok and set then who cares what you support. The same thinking that has the entire industry in the pathetic state that it’s in, and will never get better unless some new trend appears and gaming slumps.
