What is your experience as a female tauren

Over the last few months i’ve often been ridiculed and questioned upon arriving at dungeons for my choice.
Nixxiom has already roasted me hard on this.
For some reason i think i’m getting more of it for being a warrior but I’m not sure.

What are your experiences?

Ps: not mad or offended by this, i kinda enjoy the reactions it has sparked.

Are you a female in real life (or a person who wants to be a female) ?

If you are then you choose right.

If you are a man, I will never understand why male players choose female characters but I don’t really care, if you like that then that is your business!

Play what you want, who cares what dumb people think?!

I have an honest, dumb answer for this.
I started on Shazzrah, as a male tauren for the stam racial.
Then i noticed leeway was horrendous, making my whole hamstring leveling method useless.
So after a week of queue’s i gave up and rerolled realm.
So i thought, maybe with female tauren the hitbox is smaller, so the method might work again.
It didn’t, but I kinda just stuck with it, because i was behind my brother quite far already.

Well then embrace that you are a rare breed and ignore the teasing :grinning:

I’m a (heterosexual) man, and I generally prefer to play female characters in games. Most of my retail characters are female.

Why? Because I, as a heterosexual man, prefers to look at a female character when I play over a male character. (There are exceptions, such as Taurens.)
Of course, attack- and casting animations are important as well.

To be honest I think Tauren Females are still better then Dwarf Females, or at least that’s how I feel about them

I understand where you’re coming from.
Maybe not the same motives.
But i’ve got loads of toys in retail and characters as well that will turn me into a female.
Usually because their movements are a lot of tighter and faster and deliver a more enjoyable feel to the animations.

All I have to say for that is: Log Horizon.

 :grinning:

Let’s hope that 0,000004% of chance it might happen, will not happen to you, since there are no gender change potions in WoW as far as I know!

I don’t mind playing female characters in most games if that is the story.

Lara Croft, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield.

But RPGs are to me at least are really about roleplay even on a non RP server I still like to get into the game as much as I can so for me it would be bothersome to identify with a female character in that case.
Since here I can make, create a chatacter, unlike in Final Fantasy VI, there you must accept the main character is a female, but those games are even as an RPG about the story of those people like a book.

In an MMORPG it’s more about creating a virtual life for yourself you can get away from the real world. To me at least that is what MMORPGs are. Virtual worlds.

Ive never understood why in a massive fantasy world anyone picks hooman. Except for that free trinket.

I generally role female toons except for dwarf, tauren and panda (maybe worgen too). It comes down mainly to animations and overall appearance while playing, running jumping combat casting etc.

Dwarf casting is awful though but i like the beards

I can relate to that :grinning:

Back in TBC I choose a Male Draenei for Mage…
ohh my, that hunk of beef in robes as a caster…
I hated it soo much, and that racial heal I choose Draenei for Mage was soo weak… I really should have rerolled at level 10 but for some crazy reason I leveled it to 70 and used it as my Main :grinning:

For Shaman it was cool tho as Enhancement since that is physical, so that version of Male Draenei I liked to play.

Well we all make mistakes. ^.^

Ok, I usually choose male characters, but, call me crazy, but, I prefere to look at a female behind.

Bikini plate is stupid though.

i don’t think the tauren female is fierce enough looking compared to their male equals the should look more badass and wtf is with their necks

I prefer to look at the enviroment, so I don’t run into mobs or fall into a pit

Long neck, long throat…

Why tho?

Well I don’t think Blizzard would want me to link R34 content here on these forums so you will have to do your own research on that!

You roll female characters in World of Warcraft, because you’re a heterosexual male; and thus, enjoy looking at the female body. In World of Warcraft. An orc. In World of Warcraft.

Okay, sir.

I’m not into anime (I quickly googled Log Horizon) nor am I really into RP when playing WoW.

For what it’s worth, here’s my preferred genders to play in WoW (all races included)

Human: Female.
Dwarf: Male.
Night Elf: Female.
Gnome: Female.
Draenei: Female.
Worgen: Male.
Pandaren: Female.
Orc: No preference, both work.
Undead: Male. (Mostly due to animations)
Tauren: Male.
Troll: Female.
Blood Elf: Female.
Goblin: Female.

Male: 4
Female: 8
Both: 1

Looking at it, I can see a pattern; I seemingly prefer to play male characters where the male model is “manly” and female where the female model is “cute” or perhaps even “attractive” (as far as pixels go).

Female orcs are basically female MMA-fighters or Wrestlers, albeit with green hue and fangs.

Not really my cup of tea, but I can definitely see why some would find it appealing.

Stars thinking about Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano with fangs and green skin

Hmm, actually…

Ahem, excuse me? What are you talking about exactly

Omm… nothing, nothing.

Guys one got in here somehow, run for your lives! go go go!

:grinning:

I prefer female Tauren, males look like cartoon characters in armor while females retain some semblance of proportion and anatomy.

I also don’t play human males, it’s a human body with oversized bodybuilder hands attached.

Female bodies look a lot more realistic than male ones.
