Tank and spank
Tanks are expected to know things they can’t know before they gain considerable experience with current content, which they are reluctant to undertake because they don’t currently have enough experience and competency with current content to avoid criticism.
That’s one of the reasons why I tank and the feeling of being in control.
Thats to cute:3
I got the same kind of work as you but the difference between you and me is i don’t have a hard skin tilting messes me up mentally like getting angry screws me up.
Some people i think do XD sadly haha you got masochists out there.
Now you just sound like mr perfect and snobby with that kind of attitude instead of insulting how about you help others hmmm?.
For me personaly its the way m+ are cosntructed. I Loved ranking and healing back on era of just normal / hc dungeons. Why ? Because IT was easy . Sadly because of timers and how nowadays you get constsntly pummeled as tank in m+ the moment you run out of def cds 99 percent of time its just not fun experience.
I admit im rather bad player . And its ok . I will stick to dpsing and just playing tank in leveling dungeons .
Gonna enjoy playing as tank in wolk classic while farming lfd
Thank you soul now im feeling old
what u want me to do? hold your hands and say its gonna be okey?. if i let u know fear is a mental issue, and being afraid of a route or blame from tanking is all in ur head, dont i help by letting u know its not a big issue, and u should grow a thicker skin and learn to handle ur emotions?. is it better to say, its ok to be a whimp forever? confront ur fears or be controlled by it.
Exactly that reason. Routing/percentage in M+ seems rather daunting, I don’t want my poor planning to be responsible for a run to go over time.
Raiding is purely a matter of “I don’t think I’d be good enough”
I like the challenge and can play all roles and have played all roles in Mythic+ and Raiding. However tanking in M+ is the worst design ever with routing, checking % and the stress of timers. Absolute worst design.
I would absolutely tank some M+ with my Paladin or Warrior but I will definitely not learn some stupid routes and %. Total arbitrary and bad design. Cannot be bothered with it. And since blizzard will refuse to change anything, we will stick with a tank shortage for another expansion.
By the way, I raidleaded a PuG this week for 11/11 NM. One of the Tanks that was with us had only experience until Anduin. But do you know what? Since we weren’t pressured to PULL PULL PULL, he had the opportunity to read up on the following bosses and talk it through with the Co-Tank and it worked flawlessly.
He also seemed to have a lot of fun, not expecting to go that far. If issues appeared we fixed them after 1 try.
If M+ wasn’t such a mandatory gearing method to actually get into a raid in the first place, most people probably wouldn’t even be bothered (me included) and im a former CE raider that likes the challenges. M+ in its current iteration is the worst.
tank should not be stressed about that tbh. thats DPS, dps decide how well it goes, if u just do a normal route thats more than enough to time keys beyond 20+… the stress is on dps. just chill as the tank, its not tanks fault if tank did a ok job and its not timed, thats on dps.
Tanks can be problem too.
Either they cant handle their defense rotation well, wrong positions ect. Or just simple trolling the run.
Blaming everything on the dps is wrong.
i just said if tank does a ok job, its dps fault.
90% of my tanking is for friends. Few times I join a pug is when I overgear the content by a solid margin. I’m fine with learning routes and % because SL dungeons are so linear anyway. My main gripe with tanking is aggro problems that came with SL threat modifier nerfs, especially how much it varies between the different classes. It puts more stress on me than anything else and it does’t give me any sense of fulfillment when it goes well. Threat is not a fun mechanic by any means, and it’s pretty much the only thing that makes me question if tanking is worth the stress.
Low damage as tank, followed by low threat.
i got a idea for u. tank with druid and get 4set bonus. seen some tanks doing 60k dps on some pulls and ended dungeon with 9k overall, and it was just a spire, so i guess they can do far more in dungeons with large pulls
