What races or AR you DON'T want added into the game?

I’d hate them to be in. Millions running around…

No more elves, please.

I’d much rather have the Covenant races become ARs due to how unique each of them are shaping up to be.

However if someone said to me that we are getting Tortollan or Ogre, I’d most likely be waiting for that patch day with bloodshot eyes.

No ethereals, vyrkul or arakkoa.
I don’t think they belong in either faction and would rather have old allied races brought into factions (furbolg join Alliance with the nelves. Ogres go Horde).

Outland arakkoa are at very least highly anti-Horde/anti-Orc given their lore and Alliance Expedition allied themselves with arakkoa at a time. What is curious that their leader was apparently Sethekk member.
However, the arakkoa history there is very fuzzy as it appears that all arakkoa at time of Alliance Experition were Sethekk.

Vrykul - not because of the race itself but because of the RP’ers that might play them and subsequently drive me mad.

I too, watched the hit History Channel series Vikings.

Highborne - They are just Night Elves.
You can literally make one of Azshara’s Handmaidens from the WoE Dungeon or a Shen’dralar Zealot from Dire Maul, on the Night Elf character creation screen.

Maybe the extra customization for Night Elves will bring some “Highborne” feels, but as far as an AR goes, no - I don’t want to see Highborne added. They aren’t an allied race anyway since they are already part of the Alliance.

If you wanna watch a show collapse on itself after the main character leaves - this is the one. ^

When you run out of ways to make the vikings look brilliant so you just have Kiev conquer Norway.

Just to touch on this I don’t think arrakoa are a stretch and that’s not only because they’re one of the few races I’d actually be interested in over another human esque fantasy race. Most if not all of the races we’ve seen added since TBC really all can fall under the category of “shouldn’t have done because x might portray y as bad.” So I’m not a big fan of that no fun allowed reasoning. Arrakoa at least have valid lore reasons that go as far back as the original books.

WoW’s already a nuclear wasteland in terms of it’s lore handling so damage control now seems a little farfetched, we’ve gone past that point many years ago, I think it’s important to emphasize that the outlandish claim they aren’t lore viable is silly. Arrakoa really should have been added already. There’s more grounds for them to be playable than many of the races we currently have.

To actually address the OP, for me I think we’ve had enough elves to last us a life time. We don’t need anymore at the moment.

I want them but the human ripoff vrykul RPers are already bad enough…

On topic, elves. I’d be open to mostly everything but please no more elves.

Mechagnomes. Thank you, kindly Horde agent. I shall be killing you now…

The fetishists would have a day with any snake people.

Don’t. There won’t be any more allied races. The new game is customization options. Look forward to covenant unique haircuts.

It’s copypasted from the Horde questing in vol’dun and clearly Horde by canon. Alliance did naught in vol’dun but burn caravans supplying the horde.

Both groups produce elaborate fan art and photoshops to promote their fixations too.

Yeah, having a race that’s soaked in the fundamentals of the universe like Light and Void would be a silly thing.

The horde reverse engineers/steals the machinery on mechagon and both factions get to mechanize. Mechagnomes and robgoblins!

It’s a culture, not a costume!

 Allied  Races  Were  A  Mistake

That’s not really my point. Void Elves and Lightforged were created using the Void and Light, sure, but these different beings in the Shadowlands were created to keep the afterlife functioning properly (albeit unsuccessfully right now due to you know who). Neither the Void Elves or Lightforged have that same purpose in the world.

But who knows, maybe Blizzard can convince me once Shadowlands releases.

I’m not saying it’s a good idea, just that there’s precedent. It was a joke point anyway…

Okie! It’s hard to find jokes/sarcasm in text unfortunately.

High elves. and san’layn.
No more elves, please. Come up with something more creative.

Quite.

We’ve got Horde Night Elves and Alliance Blood Elves now. The latter might not be to everyone’s taste, but we’ve got them. We truly don’t need anymore playable Elves.
Like I mentioned above, lets add Highborne to the list that we shouldn’t get.

Vikings is a good TV show btw, even the recent seasons. It’s not historical whatsoever, but it’s a fun watch. Need to catch up on recent episodes though.

Basically any race that should’ve just been costumization options. Mag’har orcs, Highmountains, Lightforged, Dark Iron, Mecha-gnomes…

They shouldn’t have been races of their own.
