The social interactions haven’t changed there either.
Such a troll argument again from a pro-rdf player as usual. Why would anyone post from a real character? To get whispers from forum trolls in game?
There is no social interaction in BGs, people are doing them for honor.

My experiences so far are the same bar 1 dung in which ppl actually got themselves into an argument.
The anti-RDF ppl had their reasons but Blizzard used it for their own good which is to stop us from being able to repeat same heroics. With this tool you can do an heroic only once a day so you’ll get less Emblem of Heroism which leads to a slower character progress = more timesink.
If you played retail you’ll know that timesink to Blizzard is everything, they are so obviously placed. They were in place since vanilla but not as obvious as they are now in retail.
Now in WotLK classic they needed something from keeping ppl to burn through the content so they used the anti-RDF argument for their own goals.
If the anti-RDF ppl wouldn’t have been a thing, they would have come up with some other story, the bottom line is, they needed to get rid of this LFG tool that allowed ppl back in the day to spam hc’s all day long and have a complete new set by emblems/badges etc by the end of the day.
The tool they implemented now, retail’s mythic finder, is as bad as it can be, after having been in 1 group and i queue for the next thing, the group browser stays on searching (even when i’m not queued). Before LK came live i was able to use /reload to get the group browser out of searching but that doesn’t work anymore. I hope they’ll fix this bug. Still doesn’t mean i like it how they put it in game now but it’s something we will have to put up with because i feel like they’re pretty adamant in keeping this as it is.
Imo there’s one positive side to this tool which is that you can only speak on /4 when you’re queued.
Edit: What i hold against them is that they took us (again) for a bunch of fools telling a story which isn’t the real reason. I would have rather have them tell us: “hey guys, we don’t want you burn through content so we’re gonna fix the LFG tool so that you can only do the same HC once a day, you will have to travel to the dungs by yourself and make the groups yourself”, i think ppl would have accepted it easier.

when you would pick your own choices yes that’s true but not random, random was like endless.
You misremember, when all the heroics are completed and you open the tool it only shows you the option to queue for normals.

There’s no social aspect to this game (Classic) anymore, everything is experienced and figured out almost 15 years ago, people play it for epeen reasons as pseudo esports game and that’s about it. I feel that MMOs at large may have come to an end in the traditional sense. People are tired of the usual online bs and smack talk.
I feel like every time I log on to this Im wasting great free time of my life that could have been spent on totally new SP game experiences.
