I made a second character that’s a warlock because paladin feels slow to kill stuff now and I don’t know where to quest.
I am level 10 and was given a couple gold for signing a guild charter, should I save it spells or buy armor or something?

Buying armor while leveling rarely pays off as you’re gonna be replacing it pretty fast anyway.
Train the spells you’re actually using while leveling.
Don’t bother buying gear for a lvl 10 char lol
Warlocks need Grimoires every few levels, they get more expensive as you go along, if you don’t have much gold save it for them.
There are many areas to level at 45.
If you want to get gear then take up tailoring and make your own. You can either sell the extra on the AH, on most realms they do sell, or take up enchanting too, and disenchant them.
make gold while you level
Pick up herbing while leveling. Once you get to level 15-ish you already start picking up select herbs endgame raiders want (i.e. swiftthistle) so you can keep yourself financed and start saving for a mount.
Buying armour below level 52-ish is a total waste, go for spells/skills.
Don’t spend your gold I would recommend you take herbalism and start picking herbs the ones that will net you a lot of gold early on are Mageroyal and Briarthorn as they both have a chance of dropping Swiftthistle when you pick them which is worth quite a lot of gold to a new character.
After that you’ll pick plenty more herbs worth selling as you level that include:
Stranglekelp
Grave Moss
Goldthorn
Wild Steelbloom
Fadeleaf
Blindweed
Firebloom
Ghost Mushroom
Gromsblood
Dreamfoil
Mountain Silversage
Plaguebloom
Black Lotus
All of the herbs listed are always in demand and sell for a chunk of change. Just keep herbing as you level and sell your herbs and once you reach max level decide what you want to do with your gold you may decide you want to buy an epic mount which is going to cost you and then you may want to do a few raids which you’ll most likely be asked to bring consumables for.
In general at this stage in the game there’s no point buying gear at max level you have PvP gear, ZG/AQ gear and MC/BWL/AQ40 pugs running which means it’s just a waste of gold to buy gear and with consumables being so expensive that is where most of your gold will end up going.
Early on farming feathers for slow fall can be pretty sweet, went for 10g+ a stack on my server for awhile. Went pretty fast too, just high demand no supply.
Leveled to 20ish something on four characters while only grinding harpys lol. Tedious and slow but I had epic mount gold on all four by the time i moved on from barrens.
Wish that were the case on my server. I’ve been trying for four days now to sell three stacks of Mageroyal. The average AH price on my server is around 25-30 silver-per-stack, which is pathetic, but I wasn’t even able to sell it at 30-silver per stack.
You didn’t read it fully hehe. Ofc Mageroyal and Briarthorn are worthless, it’s Swiftthistle that’s the value.
Ah, no. Forgive me I clearly didn’t read it properly.
Having said that Mageroyal and Briarthorn used to be a really good money maker back in around 2007. I remember selling stacks of 20 for an average of around 3-4 gold. Idiots used to occasionally put them up on the AH for a fraction of that and I used to buy it all up and re-sell them for a good profit. Sadly that trick no longer works in Classic.
Of i haven’t already, buy as large bags as you can afford.
