What would cause you to consider teldrassil repayed?

Not in the slightest, when a person asks what would make up for the near total destruction a race , loss of most of its power, territories and peoples? Nothing but a path of restoration that bri gs a measure and version of the good thing gs lost, I a way that fits today but enhances the group more.

Such a recovery is something g that would take years, maybe over several expansions.
.if humans can have the level of depth and rich diversity, I don’t think why night elves can’t have theirs coming together for them in a way that lifts them up.

The only thing g that can make up for what is lost, is something g even better than before, and Nelves have a lot of stuff lost that ca be made up back

If some gods like Elune will restore Teldrassile (with new 3d model) and rise dead souls, than there will be no supper major reason to Hate all the Horde.
In that case Blizzard will be allowed to leave Sylvanas alive.

Timestamp of said events? I mean, yeah, 10k years ago when almost everybody else delved in poop huts and battled with sticks and stones, they were kind of a big deal.
But as of now? Wolfheart, The Shattering, A Good War,…
And none of these are subject to ingame restrictions.

Embellished writing technique sure might be a trap. But you can’t take half of what is being said, and discard the rest because it paint a reality that is not of your liking.

The Shattering literally “shattered” the Night elf Empire. What we are having now in wow, is but a shadow of its former self.
And 20 years of ingame material, flavoured with external sources and novels, point at Night elves NOT being the kind of all-mighty force people sometimes paint them as.
And they’ve probably hit one of their lowest after Teldrassil.

A good compromise.

Having Teldrassil restored and UC left in ruins for another expansion would be just. Why? Because (as has been pointed out on numerous occasions) the Forsaken started the whole hell-ride and the Nelves just suffered it.
But would Blizzard restore Teldrassil(and Gilneas City)? Maybe they need a few more unsubs to finally get the message :stuck_out_tongue: Just like TM, i.e. Brexit is dead, revoke the bloody thing!

It’s dead because it was handled by remoaners. Those who didn’t know what to do because they were convinced the vote of 2016 would be to remain.

I stand by my vote to leave and would vote leave again in a heart-beat.

I’m sure Horde and Forsaken players will be thrilled to know they are to be punished for a story they had no say over.

Or … because TM who claims to speak for the people has a tendency to forget about the 48% who said “no thank you” to Boris Johnson’s coup. An able prime minister is what the UK would have deserved in that instance.

It’s not about ‘‘player punishment’’, it’s about “story-line consequences”, i.e. who would want to ‘‘reward’’ a war criminal? Bad story-line, no?

If they were a third faction sure. Otherwise this seems to be hilarious overkill

Guess you never did the stormheim quests then.

52% is always bigger than 48%.

I agree. Somebody who delivers on the result of the referendum.
The world is not the EU. America, Australia, New Zealand - they’re not apart of the EU, yet they cope.

Again, I’d vote to leave again and again and again.

“Story-consequences” might also include Night elves sucking up with the fact their capitol got blown up and dealing with it without expecting an artificial narrative compensation that nullifies or counters directly said loss.

You know, like it usually happens with wars.

I did, that is why Greymane’s attack goes down as retribution for Gilneas and the death of Liam. There is no such excuse for the Forsaken burning down Teldrassil.

Well it was kind of the Forsaken and Orcs as their leaders were the ones who spearheaded the assault.

And I don’t agree with it, but you can’t question their wit when dealing with spies. They handled it like a pro which caught the Alliance off-guard completely which then led for most of the Sentinel Army was stationed off the coast of Feralas and Silithus.

The plans for the assault on the Kaldorei was actually well thought out and very clever.

Usually retribution follows the attack, and doesn’t wait until peace is made to fight a common thread. Genn attacked an Ally against direct orders of his superior. Even if said ally was an enemy once, that would propably be punished as high treason in our world.

That’s true, but I think it would have been better for the Horde to attack Stormwind over Darnassus in this regard, as it was a primary Human and Worgen force who went on the attack, whereas the Kaldorei were dealing with Xavius and the Nightmare and working with the factions to ensure Azeroth wasn’t engulfed by Nightmare.

The Kaldorei sent forces to shadow the Horde army they expected to march to Silithus. If they didn’t act like the Horde were enemies, the Horde would have never been able to attack Teldrassil.
And attacking Stormwind was impossible, while Teldrassil was in reach.

Are you forgetting the Broken Shore incident? Greymane was fuming when he saw Sylvanas’ Rangers withdraw. He cried treason. I cannot see him change his mind thereafter. The Forsaken were to blame on more than one occasion. At least in his book.

Burning down an entire city without demanding Genn seems a bit excessive

Now here, I agree.

Also, considering Blizzard came up with Boralus and Kul’Tiras, Humans had a lovely space to retreat to. But to destroy Teldrassil was narrow-minded and short-sighted.

But let us not forget that Blizzard would do anything to accommodate their human toon subscribers. Henceforth 2 capitals for the humies on the Alliance side while no capital at all for Nelves and Worgens. Come to think of it, the Alliance has more racial capitals in ruins than the Horde. But who cares, humies are ok, so why bother, eh?

You see, this was due to the fact that they wanted an Alliance-Eastern Kingdoms (barring Quel’Thalas) and a Horde-Kalimdor (barring Azuremyst and Bloodmyst Isle.)

That was their idea, but I think, obviously, it hasn’t gone to plan. I think the outcry and outrage from the Night Elf fans caused them to change direction.
