What would make the alliance more popular?

And what Blizzard should do is take ideas like this and shred them into a million pieces.

None of those 3 races deserve/deserved to lose their home, just so the Alliance players can have their egos filled.
Silvermoon and Suramar stand with the Horde and if they must be lost, then night elves are removed from Feralas and they take over and rebuild, Eldre’Thalas, Darkmist Village and Isildien. Feathermoon Stronghold becomes a training ground for the Duskwatch Warriors and Farstriders.

Isildien can be the town of worship between the Blood Elf and Nightborne Priests.
Eldre’Thalas is primarily the place where blood elf and nightborne Mages and Warlocks train.

Theres nothing different between the SIlver Covenant and the Blood elves except the name. Racewise its the same. Also dont make this topic another we want high elf cause we are alliance we deserve them topic.
In my opinion people should just play what they enjoy and stop fanboying/girling some mythic raiders and streamers.

I recommend before starting the game read which servers are good for the side you choose and dont just go randomly somewhere. There are plenty of good servers for the alliance to play in. Of course if you come to Draenor as alliance expect to get ran over, it is a horde populated server and finding people to play with will be harder than lets say silvermoon. You choose where you play.

Make dwarf to be druids ! There problem solved.

The solution is to make the alliance interesting in their own right, not by taking appeal away from the horde. Removing horde bases and cities might appeal to some, but I couldn’t care less if Silvermoon or Suramar are ours, I barely go there. I imagine I’m not alone.

  1. make alliance major actors. All too often the alliance responds to the horde. Switch the dynamic up a bit and have the alliance do something the horde responds to for once. Nathanos whines that the Alliance “impose their ideals”, this is a lie. The alliance defends their ideals, by reacting to horde action. So let’s impose them a bit more so the opposition if horde to alliance actually has roots beyond “waaah they did bad stuff to us once upon a time ages ago, and they keep stepping in to play peacekeeper when a psycho warchief does something bad”.

  2. Celebrate Alliance victories clearly. We’re told alliance wins darkshore and arathi. You wouldn’t know it. If you want a faction to feel good, you have to let them have their fistbump moments rather than just telling them “yeah but you always win”. The issue is this isn’t clear and it isn’t treated in game as a win, it’s usually Anduin/faction leader mentioning it quickly then moaning about the Horde again.

  3. Explore Alliance beyond humans. We have powerful races in the arsenal. We have magically gifted draenei, technological powerful gnomes, furious worgen. Too much focus is on generic middlemen and their nodding dogs. We don’t see the powers the alliance has often enough.

  4. Stop defining the alliance by the horde. The alliance is supposed to be an alliance of ideals and politics, but the horde is more clearly defined in what they want from the world as far as the game shows, despite them apparently banding together only out of pragmatism. The alliance ideals are never explored in their own right, only in response to the hordes behaviour. This is why the alliance feels like little more than a foil to the horde.

Well, I do know what would help at least, if only a little bit.

Give the worgen a straight posture and a tail option.

who cares? all this endless alliance playing the victim has made me want to abandon my alliance characters and stay firmly in the horde

So you’re good with Alliance-players being mocked by the developers constantly?

and where is this constant mockery?

that offhand comment about alliance losing PVP years ago?

Two years ago. BfA.
And the Horde emblem below Varians grave? The time when the former head had to apologize because Horde-players harassed the blue team?

What about the other developers who join the fun on BlizzCon? HotS deep dive, for example?

But the point still stands. Blue people have a right to be pissed off - and that doesn’t even cover the disadvantages and mistakes they have done in the past as well.

Leafkettle is just a victim 24/7.

It’s why he only produces weak arguments. He could have everything in the world, but he’d still feel “oppressed” by the big bad, Horde players.

Biggest problem for me is the community. Don’t take me wrong as Alliance for sure has amazing people with great guild atmosphere. Unfortunately, the fact is that there are also too much rude and childish people writing on general than Horde has. Horde has more adults and helpful players all around.

Must say, I love the inn music in Alliance. Goldshire Inn is fantastic and I always like to dance there if I happen to play Alliance toon. Void Elves are best Alliance race as High Elves = Blood Elves = Void Elves. I am huge fan of lore, especially the background of High Elves and how they have developed as 3 different races. On Horde, I only play Blood Elves except Vulperas which I also like. I am kinda sad Void Elves are on Alliance.

In BFA, Alliance city in Kul Tiras is very beautiful. When I first saw it I was stunned.

I really, really hope that if you feel Alliance is your thing, stay there. For me, personally, side does not matter. However, I still feel Horde is my place. Play what you like! World of Warcraft has place for both of our factions.

Bringing proof, sources and video material table in the past seems to indicate that it’s a victim complex. Luckily RL works the other way around, otherwise the Weinstein-victims would have been also reduced to a sensational “24/7”-complex case.

Stop being a made-up victim over nothing then and you won’t be mocked.
I could claim victimhood because my Nightborne hasn’t got any new features…

I don’t feel mocked to be honest with you. It’s just internet talk with no real counter points but personal emotions.

Because it’s so hard to wait for the upcoming AR-updates, huh.

Tell the High Elf fanatics about it…

Don’t I know it.

I disagree it’s constant, but it is bad enough that the supposedly impartial Devs do it once, let alone twice.

We’re being sold the idea both factions are treated and viewed equally. Part of that would imply not slagging off one faction or reducing them to the butt of jokes even once. Even if it’s not a literal issue (my life goes on) it does fuel the whining you profess to hate so much and understandably so.

Imagine a parent whom treats both children reasonably equally, but in a few public occasions they’ve mocked one of them, but not the other. It would be reasonable to infer there’s some sort of view of preferences at play, even if it’s not true. It’s a similar principle. Blizzard are supposed to be impartial if they’re interested in maintaining balance. Leave the mocking and fistbumping to the fans, or at least dole it out in equal measure else you fuel such perceptions.
