What would make the alliance more popular?

joining the horde.

This Troll gets it. He gets it, he does!

That would solve many issues and it would stop these ideas of taking things from the Horde and simply putting them on the alliance, because -LOLS-.

Night Elves, Void Elves, Dark Irons, Worgen - they can all be savage and beat back the Horde, but Blizzard needs to start writing them in that way. Toning them down to Human standards is enough to turn any apprentice to the WoW lore, off.

Could not care less, alliance horde its all the same they seems to work together most expansions anyway just get rid of factions wouldn’t change anything.

I think they should keep all the faction war thing going on, but let players do pve / pvp content (besides wpvp) with whoever they want. When it comes to the ultimate baddies the Horde and Alliance always team up in one way or another, so why wouldn’t the player characters do the same? Faction capital cities should still be hostile towards the player of the opposite faction, and they could invent some alternative system to guilds in order to keep raiders from different factions in a common enviroment.

Be Careful What You Wish For. The last time they tried going for “savage Night Elves,” we got that irredeemably stupid scenario in Mists where Tyrande is chomping at the bit to run into an obvious trap and only the Wisdom of High King Wrynn stops her.

Honestly, I WANT to see conflict that’s sensible and grounded and works within its context and doesn’t leave that context. I want the Worgen to fight to get Gilneas back, with Dark Iron support striking behind the lines. I want the Night Elves and Draenei casting out the invaders from Ashenvale and Azshara and setting up a massive war camp right outside Orgrimmar’s back door. At this point, who could even blame them?

But this is Blizzard writing. The moment someone does that, they’re Mad and Corrupted and the Bad Guy. Clearly, the only right and just thing to do is to fight exclusively in whatever new zones have been invented for this expansion, for no actual reason.

Honestly, the humans are the only ones benefitting from the Alliance. For every other race in it, it’s just a pain in the assassination spec.

Well, I’m thinking more in line of what’s happening now.
Their is potential for the Night Elves to be who they are, in their own forests.

I know and it is a total turn off from the Alliance.
Humans and friends is not a fun faction, unless you play Humans. I have 1 Human, but I RP the character as a Scarlet Crusader - so they are completely crazy and nutty.

I’ve got one, but he’s a Death Knight who left the Ebon Blade in disgust. Actually also a former Scarlet. Doesn’t exactly hang around Stormwind. But yeah, let’s not forget that Tyrande is already being portrayed as unreasonable for wanting some justice. Everyone around her treats her as a dangerous madwoman. They’re writing her as basically a long, angry, incoherent scream in the shape of an Elf. Which, admittedly, is a Big Mood, but we can all see where this is going: Either she Learns Patience And Lets Go Of Her Hate, or she’ll be another raid boss in an expac or two.

Honestly, at this point, just dissolve both factions. Without the Horde, there’s no need for an Alliance anyway. It exists purely to save the world from Garrosh/Sylvanas/whoever.

Oh Wow We got the Tauren who can’t stay civil, doesn’t know lore and keeps getting little forum vacations back again. Has anyone asked them a question yet to see if their answer is “I have already answered countless times, it is not my fault you cannot read” again? They were a hoot to demolish…anyway…

cracks knuckles, cricks neck and says “Someone hold my beer”

OK. Let’s get started.

Why? Neither Blood Elves and Nightborne are refugees, both owning their own cities. You can’t be a Refugee in your own city.

Fortunately only Elves are.

Says Who? Grandpa Tolkien? You know he made that up, right? Elves and Humans were never pals until he wrote his books, never worked together before and were ancestral antagonists. The Alliance has no special right to them. Other Books exist. Just saying.

And your alternative is…

Oh Me! Oh MY! Really! Do you even believe this yourself? Where did you get your knowledge of elves and humans from? Wait, it was Tolkien wasn’t it? Or was it Warhammer? Do you come from one of those rare countries in Europe that -doesn’t- have legends about Elves? Because that is the only reason someone could have this completely false idea that Elves are Alliance themed!

So that is what makes the Horde Identity is it? Can you explain to us what you think is the Horde identity (We all know where this is going!) But please, do tell us, what is this Horde Identity you speak of, what is it’s ethos that is best served by turning away races that fit it?

I think you’ll find the rightful inhabitants of Silvermoon and Quel’thalas have their city.

You don’t even know Night Elf Lore! How can you even say this? Do you know how old a ‘Darnassian’ would be? About 18. How old do you think Darnassus -was-? ‘Darnassians’ would be at the most just reaching Adulthood. Tyrande, Malfurion, Jarod, Maiev, Shandris, pretty much any Kaldorei you want to name, are not ‘Darnassians’. Suramar was not the ‘ancient home’ of the Darnassians as it existed for more than 10,000 years before Darnassus did at least! Probably even longer!

So let me get this right. The Alliance should get Silvermoon and Quel’thalas, and Suramar -and- the Broken Isles. do the Highmountain Tauren get to keep their Ancestral lands, which actually -are- Ancestral, or do they get handed to the Alliance too? I mean you can’t return something to someone it never belonged to, and the Alliance wasn’t founded for many, many, many thousands of years until after that. I mean Humans as a species are younger than that, so how does this work, what Alliance should these lands be handed back to, that wouldn’t exist for almost ten thousand years?

Why does any of that make sense?

Why would they, when they have their rightful lands and homes that belong to them?

Wrong!!!
Elves sometimes helped humans, they only ever formally allied with them during the Troll Wars 2,800 years ago, and during the Second War, after which point the debt was paid off.
Mages are an Alliance theme are they? Wrong!!!
Who do you think -TAUGHT- the humans Magic?

WRONG!!!

That is not the origin of either the Blood Elves, and even more hilariously the Nightborne. How long do you think High Elves have formally been in the Alliance? and Hysterically how long do you think the Night Elves have been in the Alliance?

This is gold dust…

Blood Elves are not derived from Alliance High Elves, it is the -other- way around! The 10% joined the Alliance -after- being exiled from mainstream Thalassian society, Suramar had nothing to do with the Alliance until First Contact with it, when the Alliance royally narked it off and drove it into the Horde!

Says who? You? Tolkien? You’re both wrong.

You are factually incorrect.

I can’t believe I got so many lore errors out of just one post, More to come later as I find some more gems!

This would be risky and a wild idea but an introduction of a new 3rd faction would be cool with new races. It might serve to help balance faction population rather than one being overwhelmingly higher than the other one. May make world pvp more interesting too.

The hurt is done on most realm already, call it a quit already, You, Me, Faillizzard ain’t gonna be abe to turn back or even the situation, not that they will even try to balance it out for the matter.

Yep, even though I don’t play Alli I still keep my first ever toon (well not really him, but a copy of the one I did for the very first time in a private server) which is a Night Elf Hunter, and I updated his looks with the Teldrassil burn scar plus a matching blind eye, because it made sense story-wise, specially for the kind of background I had given him. Costumization like that is very welcome imo.

Bring back old human racial. Not the stun removal only.

Im playing belf dk since wotlk, before that I played undead. You can keep your cringy assumptions to yourself.

If I wanted to make a real PvP effort during an expansion I would move too Alliance to get faster que’s for BG’s but since I’m mainly a PvE player there is no reason for me to move Alliance, Horde side is bigger got better economy better prices wider range of player and a way better recruitment situation and recruitment is something you consistently need to do for the guild to stay relevent.

If my guild decided to move to a populated Alliance realm I wouldnt mind swapping either. But as it stands being horde is way better for most players the amount of guilds is telling for this just look at any top 2000 PvE guilds its mostly Horde so whatever skill your playing at your chances at finding the guild for you is bigger as horde.

I don’t think Blizzard can really salvage Alliance.

Making PvP vendor items the best gear in PvP would be a nice start so that PvP’ers won’t have to change faction to obtain overpowered PvE trinkets-items from raids.

Removal of Mercenary Mode is another easy and simple step.

Rework Worgen racial to something else so that they can have another use outside of Goldshire.

Nerf Troll and Orc racials.

Alliance must have noticable racial advantages just like horde had in the past or this faction is doomed.

Don’t worry Blizzard have a perfect system called Mercenary Mode, you can get fast ques while playing on the majority side.

No they dont. No it dont confuse me one bit with timewalking the only thing confusing me is how many dilusional blood elves that exist :slightly_smiling_face:

I do give arguments and then you ignore them so the only thing you keep doing is proving how immature you are as you refuse to see facts and then keep trying to force your opinion on others
