What's wrong with the PvE community?

No one felt responsible for it because drumroll

  1. Leader did not make them responsible

and drumroll

  1. someone in the team took the responsibility and “Toll, ein anderer macht’s!”.

Leader’s fault.

How did someone take responsibility when we wiped to it because it went off without even one interrupt?

You did by cycloning and stuff (your words).
You couldn’t cope with it, but everyone else thought you could because they noticed you doing it. So no one came for support.

Sometimes it works out if everyone picks the right respoinsibilities (like as a hunter I tend to interrupt late in the cast…that will fail if everyone else also decides to interrupt late). But that’s just pure luck.
Proper leadership sets these responsibilities beforehand.
Sure, it doesn’t work out if the team just doesn’t do those responsibilities. But before responsibilities are not properly delegated it’s not a team member’s fault but the leader’s fault.

Oh yeah, because saying they have to interrupt or we die means I can stop the cast from going off indefinitely. We couldn’t get past those packs btw, 3 wipes and then I left because we just kept dying to unstable rift. In a +22.

Ye, it’s just literally that nothing a single sane person wants to do in the end game.
That’s all side stuff which is nice to have and that’s fine.
It’s like buying a car but saying I am not gonna drive it, I just use look at it and drive in my fantasy.
People usually playing games for… gameplay. Old dungeons are not content, you got these too in WoW and you can see, everyone wants timewalking (which we get) but nobody is asking for a down-scale-version of these, which is obvious, it’s the worst design a dev can come up with in a MMORPG.
Calling weird stuff like fashion and wondrous tails content is just weird. You can see nobody is crazy enough in WoW to call weeklies or dailies a content…

And of course most of it is not forced… just imagine forcing people to play side games… how crazy is that? Nobody is forcing you to do pet battles in WoW, right? Because it’s a side game.

Don’t mix up actual end game content and side content.

What is this supposed to show? I could post twitch numbers where FF14 is doing at least 4 times worse than WoW. Is that as much prove as some random website? I’d actually claim it proves more tbh.

Also, FF14 is SUPER toxic, like beyond toxic. There is this one guy with 100k+ subs on youtube doing really good videos and the guy is always positive. He dared to point out obvious FF14 flaws (like absolutely not working PvP with zero depth and no player choice like talents etc) and his like/dislike ration went from 99/1 to like 50/50… imagine being such a white knight not even allowing valid criticism. It was not even a criticism directly, which makes it more sad. Crazy community for sure.

It is not flawed exactly.it is how people act on it.
Example1 .They do not think that Tyranical and Fortified give different score so even if i have done all 15s on Tyranical (only) they will think that my Rio is low .
Example 2.I have seen alts of 3k rio being just an low ilvl alt. saying “It is only a 15…” at start but it is only a low ilvl alt.
Logic and Rio do not go together for some.

Many,yes.

I do not go to 20’s because i do not want to pug them.I have 279 character Vault farming and no guild or friends to try.Season 3 ends so thats that.

Getting the score required to run +20-ish keys is really not that much of a time investment if you are good at the game. And honestly, if someone PvPs at a decent level (I’d call 2100+ that), a lot of the skills will carry over to mythic+. Arguably more so than it is the case with raiders going into m+. Arena players are already used to doing things like using their interrupt on important spells, using their CC, popping defensive cooldowns during periods of heavy damage. Someone who knows how to do all this stuff can more or less go straight into +15 and perform reasonably well for this key level, even if they’re using a PvP build and their DPS could use improvement.

The only dungeon that’s really given me problems at +20 has been dos and plaguefall.

I swear, dos is just downright cursed. People kill each other on dealer with the lightning or someone dies somehow when doing a wo skip or they fail at killing the totems or the tank runs out and we get crushed on mueh’zala.

Plaguefall, stradama was pretty rough on tyrannical. Probably the hardest fight I’ve had to heal so far in m+. I thought echelon was intense on tyrannical but then stradama came and turned that up to an 11 with only one disease dispel in the party. Had I known how much damage that disease would deal, I would have invited another that could dispel it, lol.

Necrotic wake was a complete joke, lmao. I don’t understand how we can have something as easy as necrotic wake and then something as hard as dos or early sanguine depths in the same expansion. The difference in difficulty between necrotic wake and dos is insane.

I agree with you on that, actually. Somehow I always have weird things happening in that dungeon and ruining runs in the middle of it. More so than with other dungeons. I’m 3k score and to this day, my highest timed DoS is an 18.

Haven’t they already nerfed that fight? Maybe that’s my improvement over the seasons and/or getting better teammates, but it used to be much more of a headache on +15 in s1 than it is now on +20.

No idea. It was rough as hell to heal on +20 tyrannical with only 1 disease dispel though. I didn’t have that much trouble healing it on my priest in season 1 in a +15.

Hah. I timed a +20 but I was skeptical at first, I was like “Oh no, a warrior tank” when they invited a warrior tank. But then it turns out it’s some gigachad warrior tank that played like a god compared to any other warrior tanks I’ve played with.

when you dont have arguments and want to try to be funny comparing Housing, Deep Dungeon and Gold Sauser as “cutting nails”… are you like 15 years old? Housing in FFXIV is a game on itself…

its not a random website… is Metacritic… is like the IMDB of games. Twitch numbers have dont make a game good… maybe people like the one who does the stream or maybe they only watch raid streams etc…

Its not the same as rating a game…

We are doing it even without any dispell available. The idea is to coordinate the amount of rains per phase. And yes; everything that requires coordination in pugs will end up in hell.

(Not sure why you are comparing a 15 with a 20)

This is horrendous, but actually doesn’t surprise me all that much. It’s the same mentality as the people who say ‘the game makes people toxic’. Refusal to take any kind of responsibility.

Coldshade said it used to be more of a headache on +15 in season 1 than it is now in +20 in season 3. I don’t share that opinion, having healed it on my priest in season 1 on +15 and now in season 3 on +20 on my druid. :stuck_out_tongue:

Your priest can dispel the poison and your druid can’t?

It’s a disease but yeah, druids can’t dispel diseases while priests can. Only had a paladin that could dispel it in the party I did it on +20 with. Had I known it would do as much damage as it did, I would have invited another one that could dispel it, lol.

Well idk them tbh and idc about them? Like… I don’t know a single person who actually rated there anything or rated any game on any site. Nor did I and most likely many others. But the white knight mentality FF14 players have, I am not surprised they rate it good everywhere, yet again, I didn’t rate it bad anywhere, nor did anyone I know. So what is it saying?
I mean FF14 players have enough time, due to the lack of content, so that’s another side content for them I guess :joy:

Right… you just don’t like the numbers because these are real, on a platform where MANY people from both games are “active” and these numbers just don’t speak for FF14, for obvious reasons. Also, I rarely watch any WoW vids or streamers when I am playing the game but when I am not subbed, I somehow do watch and this is what makes me play the game again. I never watched any game (unless I didn’t know it in the first place) vids/streamers of a game which I don’t like or didn’t want to play. It’s actually simple.

True, it has more value than rating a game on a random site which the majority of people simply does not. If you are going to say that people rather log in and/or register on some random site to vote for games, than watching games on twitch… then idk what to tell you. You live in a weird reality.

How many rains did you get? We timed our first +21 on tyrannical in season 2, and we had 8 rains. Quite traumatizing  Somehow we made it, but it got a discussionpoint in the group from then. Now we are getting tops 5-6 rains.

I can’t even remember. It was back in May. I just remember the rain hurting like mad.

I can never remember what the names are. I just know that PF is tough on druid healers because my friend (who plays resto druid) told me it is! I did it yesterday on 21 on my feral. I think the only dispel we had was the (pally) tank and the last boss was rough.
