Why are people constantly getting flaged?

It just reads as if you’ve decided to have an opinion about me, and not to change it regardless of whatever evidence is being presented to you.
Unfortunate.

Again, I have explained everything in the thread.

I don’t want to turn this into a Slapface hate thread. So again, I’ll depart here.

I’m not a fan of downvoting. Seems to encourage people to behave badly.

I still think a lot of issues could be resolved with btag posting on the forums. We have a ridiculous number of characters available to us per account across all the WoW versions.

How many flags does it take to hide a comment?

Five characters.

This is the correct approach.

I can confirm

That will just lead to people being bullied.

Can’t see that happening.

Ought to be 10 tbh.

Logical at first thought, however, that would actually lead to spiraling-up of dispute/hate.

I dont think the number is the issue, five is fine. Alts flagging is the bigger problem.

Oh right, yeah that’s stupid… should be per account, not per character. :o

You can make it semi-anonymous.

Generate a fake new profile for each account, with a fake username. Nobody will know whom it belongs to.
But when people will start to see “BluePeanut7244” reporting every thread, they’ll be able to flag that person for abusive flagging.

Oh it really does. if you have ever participated in r/WoW subreddit. It’s the most toxic cesspit in the world.

You get downvoted for slightly different opinion. You get called every single name under the sun, you get mass reported, messages saying “someone is concerned about you”… oh and once I got banned from the whole of Reddit for 3 days (which I got overturned) because I stated that I liked time limited rewards.

I’m IP banned from this subreddit because I made a thread explaining why Legion was a bad expansion. Hehe.

But yeah, Reddit overall is the death of freedom of speech. You get banned for sneezing over there.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Blizzard were heavily involved in that Subreddit, because at the end of the day it’s a huge free advertisement for them. So heavy upvoting and downvoting on there from Blizzard HQ would help them get across their intentions.

But then having said that, there’s a couple of threads on there today completely bashing the Blizzcon “rewards”.

I don’t think so. Every big subreddit is moderated like this.

r/unpopularopinion is peak garbage. You get banned for posting unpopular opinions on this subreddit, meanwhile threads such as “alcohol is bad” are on the front page with thousands of upvotes every week.

well almost 1 out of 10 posts of mine gets flagged. sometimes it’s just one person spamming with alts and sometimes a few people who has been holding a grudge against me for a while now.
the weird thing is they do it to everyone these days, if you come here with a different idea/feedback your post is most likely to get flagged and you’ll be called a troll. even worse part is mods don’t remove those flags all the time meaning they agree that you’re trolling when you just explain your thoughts.
if blizz doesn’t care or want to stop them there’s nothing we can do. i just keep ignoring people atp.
