Wish they brought new content instead catch up…
Thats great.
But i can litterally buy m+ boxes from my main to add these items limitlessly.
Rifts already rewarded this.
Fyrakk already rewarded this.
It isnt catch up gear if its the identical reward thats been handed out since 10.1s launch day, catch up gear imples it skips past the starter point to get people closer to where theyre susposed to be.
Remember 10.0.7? That went online 21st of march. 2nd of may is when 10.1 released.
That’s 6 weeks.
Now, I do think it’ll be a little longer this time. It depends on when they’re going to start with the Turbulent Timeways event. Because that event lasted for 6 weeks last time.
There’s new content though.
New story questlines.
Heritage questlines.
Dreamsurges.
The secrets event is still ongoing.
There’s going to be new holiday content as well.
It might not be the content YOU personally are interested in, but there IS content for sure.
Depends… This is a way for me to get the heroic raid transmog as well, besides the ilvl gain for now. I personally prefer this to waiting 4 years or so before I can solo that raid. So there’s that.
That’s the only content for me, and the stories are sadly not good imo. I’m very interested in campaign quests, if the story is good. I liked for example the tyr questline
Right, and that’s fair. But ‘overal’ the other stuff IS content.
I don’t like or do M+, but it still counts as content overal. ![]()
You’re totally right, honestly I would prefer if the “catch-up” gear was just a crafted 4xx set instead how having to farm weeks to “catch-up”.
This event is useful for getting gear for fresh level 70 alts and for collecting any LFR tint tier tmog sets you still haven’t got. My monk now has 2 x 402 weapons and 2 x 402 tier set pieces after 30 minutes play on my main.
I don’t know about you, but are I am getting bored kind of that just ilvl and tier set is my entire gearing progression. There are very few interesting items or things to chase for a MMO
yeah it is great on that aspect but 402 is wayy too low if new season is coming in october. it should at least give 424 ready gear so people can grind further , it’s not just the gear you need stones crests etc so 402 to 440 in last(important thing here) month is doable but that’s not a catch up.
AND for players who don’t engage with ‘big 3’ content. Who likely don’t have full 437 yet.
And who likely don’t have all the heroic raid transmog yet (if any).
But they definitely should make it possible to get more than 1 currency for that stuff per week.
catch up is that u can play current content … NOT THAT U SKIP HALF OF THIS SEASON CONTENT
Exactly this.
When you ding 70 you are 285 ilvl. With these catch up gear options you are fast in the 400+ ilvl which allows you to play every current content. These things are not for getting 445 instant.
even u can just play some things like lfr and low m+ dungeons and u are easy to 424 gear
Unpopular opinion: Argus invasions were good! They were decent for main, and great for alt catch-up. And best of all, being instances meant that there was no lag.
I think my ilevel 415 guy is very low…
Imagine spending a week trying to get 402.
Just toss some gold to boosters, and you’ll be 430 before someone else is 402.
Nah, it doesn’t take a week to TRY to become 402. Two - three hours and you will BE 402.
Well ok, almost 402 as there are no trinkets.
I mean there is catch up gear for your alt that needs boost to get to 424lvl, and once per week boost to 437, its pretty hecking good catch up gear in determinist way because I can easily aim run 5 heroics and get 437, do Suffur camps and get 437, its just one way to add on top of already great ways to get catch up gear. It might not be for YOU as catch up gear but there are people to whom it is really great way to get gear and/or transmog
Time rift trinkets ![]()
laughs in 442ilvl anyways
With the new Flightstone Upgrade system, M+ leveling is SO EASY.
I honestly think you don’t even need the catch-up gear at all, IF you are playing just one character like me.
The Legion Invasions you mean?
They were good for leveling alts. Then you got Dauntless gear with Nethershards (which were pretty easy to get, easier than flightstones and drake’s creats).
I think Benthic gear was one of the better catch up systems (aside from that bis lottery mess). I wish this model of catch had been continued.
