Why character boost to 58 is good

If you do the math you can see bots will be much more efficietn with 58 lvl boost
On reddit you can see following calculation:

To level 1-58lvl bot need on average 200 hours while earning 1g/hr
With boost 58lvl: they need 0 hours and can start allrdy to do 100g/hr

for 10.000 bots without boost it is 2m gold with boost it is 200m gold

That is 198m fresh gold to deflate economy

Boters will abuse this boost as hard as they can and will love it
15$ = 1.000 gold (for gold sellers)
30.000$ if you have to level to 58
3.000.000$ with boost

Entry fee for bots will be nothing if you calculate how much they will earn more with boost
While they level you have time to catch them, with boost you are giving them steroid to pump as much as they can until being caught and damage is done

The bottem line is and was that most people will never bot. You want them to be punished?

Seems to me you better use your energy to get Blizzard to do more against bots and not hurt honost players, no?

The boost is ment for new players who for whatever reason will not play if they can not get a boost. Boost is not implemented for your 8th alt.

guess as a player whos never googled this stuff it just seems dead then xD, i remember the days it Litterally plagued the game everywhere. was inescapable.

Buying gold from Blizzard just makes it so much easier for EVERYONE to do it. And it will make gold way more inflated than it currently is… I would never risk perma ban or giving out my credit card information to gold sellers. I respond to you cus it sounds like you think wow token would be a good solution ?

Buying gold is bad, buying gold from Blizzard is equally bad for the game if not worse since more people would do it. I rather have gold sellers spamming than wow token.

b) Because if the boost was free, it would actually be useful for botters

1. They let everyone buy tokens because, your returning friends wants to play a faction that you don’t and you want to join in as well? Maybe they start on a different server, it would let you start with them there. Two reasons I can come up with.
2. It cost $$ so Blizzard can earn more money, it costs money to make sure everyone doesn’t use it. If you already have a level 60 maybe you would consider not paying for a boost rather than having it for free. If you are a new player, maybe you would consider levelling instead of boosting, I’m sure there will be tons of people leveling instead of boosting for the cost alone. Most importantly it prevents botters somewhat.

This was discussed many times over.

Even if the boost costs only 25€, that’s 2x the cost of a months subscription. A Boosted bot would cost 3 times as much as a non-boosted bot, presenting a much higher risk of loss-of-investment to the bot-users.

And it’s very likely that the boost will not be that cheap.

So no, the boost does not encourage botters.
