Did you ask before starting the dungeon if everyone was ok with skipping?
I said: âI am skipping useless bossesâ and everyone was silent but the mage.
People are ignorant/just in it for themselves, that was my take on it.
I was doing a dungeon where I needed the initial mobs for an item they dropped, people refused so I pulled what I needed and made it the tanks problem. It caused a wipe in the grand scheme of things, but I got my quest done (Yes I did ask they just said no)
Tank should just not have taken aggro from you tbh. Dungeons are a team effort, if you are just doing things yourself against the decision of the team then you are on your own.
For some reason I hate when people skip bosses in SL leveling dungeons too. I remember getting into Plaguefall once, like a month ago, and people kept skipping. I died 2 times, once cause I fell in poison during skipping, and once cause a healer was obviously playing a Disc Priest for the first time.
Than I got pissed cause of skipping, pooled a large group of mobs to the group, so we would all die, and than I left. I didnât do much, cause I was playing a mage, so I likely got replaced instantly, but still.
There is no place in dungeons for people who arenât willing to help people do their quests and are just rushing it for the end of dungeon exp Cause they would be more than quick enough to jump shark and kick up a fuss when they would be on the receiving end of being screwed over.
Welcome to wow community on 2021.
Gently pats the worgen head
Welcome to the pug world pretty much. I learned that lesson long ago that pugs only care about 1 thing = about themselves. And its not something unexpected or anything. Why would I care what some random guy from some random realm which I will never meet again after the run is done, thinks of me?
If 4/5 peps said no. Then you pretty much forced them to help you on your whatever quest. Not sure if the 4/5 guys are at âfaultâ here.
I donât like skipping bosses personally. When levelling its a good way to get to grips with a new class, and well I enjoy running dungeons.
But if the rest of the team wants to skip, I just go along with the ride. But when Iâm tanking, I always ask if anyone needs the boss, and even if 1 person says Yes, I stop and kill the boss.
We all join groups for a different reason. This person might have joined the group specifically to kill that boss. What gives me the right to take that away from them.
Thatâs very self centered to think of yourself and your needs as above the whole team.
If bosses can be skipped then they shouldnât be there in the first place.
You want to clear the dungeon?
Then you kill everything in it.
This isnât dnd, there is no gm about to slap your wrist if you donât ârespect the dungeonâ. If a boss can be skipped then it should be.
if u guys dont like skipping , just play tank
oh wait nobody want to play tank lol
Now i understand your point of view
But now understand that people leveling through dungeons maybe want to enjoy it and do dungeon
maybe they are there for Q
They want to play the game they maybe donât care itâs faster to kill last boss for quick exp gain
Try to look at everything from different perspectives not just you and your own eyes cause wow is played by people and there are different types of people
I think it simply boils down to each personal preference.
I use lvling dungs mostly to level as efficient as possible. Iâve seen all those dungeons inside out like 10000 times already. I see no reason to spend there more time than absolutely required.
Yet there are peps who who want to go âLauren-explorenâ mode there.
Well like I said: If you tank = then you call the shots
Quests are worth a lot of XP so that would be my guess too. Itâs not like it takes long to do a couple of extra bosses. I tend to ask though, can we do x please I have a quest. Most times people are okay with that. Sometimes itâs a big nope and you just have to go with the flow. Still better to get that dungeon completion xp and queue again.
I was in PF and it was a healer to skip the first boss. I really didnât mind it, just wanted to see what would happen next. He started with insulting the tank who didnt say anything about the skip and continued pulling more ooze. Then, someone started votekicking tank. Vote was declined and it was another one for healer. Healer got kicked with 30 min debuff instead. It made me smile
somes quests in vanillas dungeons are realy not worth to do , give legit 3x less than a normal quest dungeon , and you have to walk 3-5 min + to go at this boss/mob , ofc i skip that
Itâs only faster if your a role which gets insta queues otherwise itâs slower due to downtime between dungeons.
Why I donât rly ever level anything but tanks via that queue.
They are good XP, itâs always worth doing dungeon quests. However dungeons are a group activity and sometimes the group doesnât want what you want.
