Why do people gank low level players?
Before people comment that I shouldn’t play on a PvP server if I don’t want to get ganked…
It’s not something that has just happened to me , I’ve not come crying to the forums which is most peoples immediate assumption. Just something I witness often. Personally I happily run past someone 10levels lower than me who is questing and leave them alone because I know they have no chance of winning and so I’d get no satisfaction out of killing them.
Personally I only attack people that are in my level range as for me it’s the satisfaction of winning a ‘fair’ duel that makes me enjoy PvP. Maybe someone can give their reasons for killing low level players?
Is it that they’re so invested in the Lore of WoW that any opposite faction player needs to be killed on sight?
Or is it that they don’t realise that the other player doesn’t stand a chance and it bolsters their ego that they are the better player?
Or is it just because they get satisfaction out of being an annoyance?

Just because it all started with Orcs and Humans. Alliance vs Horde. Any opposite faction player should be killed on sight. Happened many times to me also tbh so why not?

I don’t. Never have.
If I can’t win or can’t lose, then I have no interest in it. The “verses” in PvP is important to me, I like the competition. I’m not doing it for a power trip over helpless people.

I imagine its either a sense of feeling superior, to troll and annoy people, maybe a role playing thing or that they’re s**t at fair PvP. Personally dont play on a PvP realm for the same reason I dont go into the wilderness in OSRS I have 0 enjoyment in unfair pvp.

For me, I was always ganked by higher lvl warriors while lvling, they usually only attacked when in a group, so now every time i see a low lvl warrior on his own hes dead.

One thing I absolutely love is the “cat and mouse” kind of gameplay it brings.
Can it be frustrating when a player level ?? kills you? Heck yes!
Is it enjoyable to actually run away, hide or actually beat the player? Most satisfying thing in video games!
Do I enjoy killing lowbies? Just to make their lifes miserable? Well, why should their life be any different than mine?

I’ve been killed too many times now while either at low health or fighting mob(s) to give a crap about level.
So now most of the time my mindset is if I’m able and if your name is red, you’re dead.

do you also macro /laugh /spit etc. and spam those everytime “you’re out stepping on ants”?.
pretending that it’s as casual as being outside on a stroll.^^
