Because I can.
But i usually only gank lowbies if I happen to be in the area for some reason. Like, back when ZG was live in Vanilla. I’d hop of my mount to oneshot a lowbie in STV on my way to the raid. I never corpsecamp. It’s Just lame. I have better things to do.
I dont kill fellow Druids coz we are protectors of Azeroth we dont give a damn about some puny faction war 
About lowbies , yea i dont kill “grey” opponents, but there are few exeptions like if i see lvl 20 running through STV, or another low person doing so called FP run in much higher zones then yea i kill them just as RPG warning "Hey you are not supposed to be here, so have a nice ghost run pal "

Anyone that is red, and i consider an annoyance is dead, annoyances are them attacking other people, them tagging my quest or farm mobs, them beeing a rogue, them beeing in a zone that they are not likely to be in except for causing trouble (eg redridge)

Maby on your server…on Zabdalar Tribe the mighty Alliancy will only engage in pvp when:

they are 10 + levels higher then opponent

they outnumber the opponent 5 to 1.

As a paladin rogues often leave me alone thank god, but playing classic, made me relive the ptsd of beeing a hunter and a priest in stranglethorn vale… so now its my turn to kill rogues! 
Strange i play on ZT as well, and i’ve only found 1 horde so far that didn’t either massively out level me, or were with multiple people when they attacked. Although i must admit that the people currently engaging in pvp on ZT do so heavily favored, i guess thats on both sides.

I’ve been fishing in STV on Firemaw as a Level 25 Druid and over maybe 10 hours I’ve only been killed once by a 41 mage.
I relogged to my 35 Hunter and killed him while he was fishing up my pool. Didn’t see him again so eh.
Classic is so much more about who takes whom unawares rather than level <>5 or anything else.
People who actually argue that gankin is toxic are in fact awfully toxic here, a lot… Lol.
Ganking is not toxic at all for me, above all in a rp pvp server, or pvp. Camping, in the other hand… Actually is.
On alterac me 37, war human 31 got ganked by a 46, we killed him… He called for a 50/skull druid and killed us. a 33 priest came for aidin us and we killed them both. OCC of course. Was very fun nonetheless, challenge is good.

I mean, I love pvp so I mean… this doesn’t bother me 
I honestly don’t mind getting ganked, just means I get to tab out for 10 mins and browse the forums or go play an alt if I get camped.
I have made friendly rivalries already, as well as horde friends I have had emote wars with.
Getting ganked is the name of the game on pvp servers, even better with non-crz. You start to recognise the people who will be fun to scrap with, and also the people you know are just there to quest and chill.
I often spent several hours at a time chilling with Horde on the Orgrimaar auction house on my paladin.
We’d setup camp fires, have conversations using emotes, duel. It was fun. Rarely did a Horde actually try to jump me.
Because im mad undead, hunger for death of innocences. When I travelled from arathi to badlands, I cant resist my possession and slayed every alliance player at sight.
Apother story: just tired of collecting low chance drop q items and I killed every ally player in sight, looted their mobs.
