Why so toxic against boosted chars?

Why dont anyone ever check up the tiger before they speak? the tiger was something you unlocked the ablity to buy not a mount you got the second you put in the code, and it was bop in tbc like all other mounts as well befor you come back and say it could be sold on the ah or something stupid like that.

Maybe you’ll be ok, but it’s likely an automated system

This guy is funny… You retailers…
I bet u are an allstar private server cow that got milked with P2W gear at the private server shops. Or bought a boost aswell?

I guess I’m really weird then. I can live with that

Yes, was it not still a unique mount locked behind a paywall? did it not still “ruin your immersion” because it wasn’t unlockable without spending money?

Spitting and shaming someone for their personal decisions isn’t exactly a critique

There’s nothing arrogant in my post, you are just trying to see negativity in everything that goes against your point of view.

Players are weirdos, they have to dominate over others, now its boosted players, or deluxe players or deluxe players over poor players etc.
Let them live their virtual world, they all are ignorable.

I have personaly never mentioned immersion, and yeah it wasnt unlockable without spending money and if the DE mount would have worked exactly like the tiger did back then I would personaly have been for its inclousion im just against people being able to buy things that could impact gameplay at all.

My two cents!

Whilst i to agree it is just silly and immature with the /spit on players and best to just try and ignore it or filter the /spit emote so you don’t see it.

But i can agree why people find the act of buying boosts wrong, i too am one of them.

By buying a boost you show that you’ve not earned it in the traditional sense. The same with using dungeon boost services. You’re not earning the end goal in what many see as a ‘fair’ and ‘honest’ manner.

Also, by buying the boost, you have encouraged Blizz/Activision with the same mindset which has led to what retail has become, something many people now find anathema to the ‘classic experience’.

It is whether you want it to be or not

If you say so, as long as you’re ok that’s all that matters.

Too many don’t get that and just want to buy something as long as they have fun with it in the moment, with no thought to what it means or what it supports. Too many of those people play games unfortunately.

Essentially it goes back to basic human psychology

Do we go for the Instant Gratification for that short term gain, or do we delay that instant gratification for something greater.

For example in my situation, i am levelling a Draenei shaman in the traditional manner of doing quests, running dungeons with similar levelled players, levelling professions by collecting the craft goods myself. Albeit i am not max level on my Shaman (only lvl 34 at writing this) i am happy with the progress and proud of it. I look at those who simply made the character, then had some level 60s boost them through dungeons repeatedly, my value on that process is far below my current route. Which, ok isn’t the fastest, but is the more meaningful to me.

So going back to OP’s post, people are simply expressing their judgement value on a particular method, but in so a manner which isn’t overly friendly, i.e. /spit.

Keep crying please. Your tears quench my thirst. :sob::drooling_face:

Yeh I boosted this toon to L28

What does it mean, and what does it support?

That MTX are good money? Newsflash: The Gaming industry figured that out 10 years ago. Oh so we should show our opposition to that here in WoW? Too bad that the business model works great in every single Game that uses it, including Blizzards own Products (no, its not only Retail WoW, not by a long shot). So what do we change if we try and draw a line in the sand here in WoW Classic? Exactly: Nothing.

What does it support, further MTX in WoW Classic? So far they only introduced the one, and that as a one-off. Sure, MAYBE they do more in the future, but by then, Classic will have progressed into the versions of WoW that we wanted to get away from anyway, so how is that relevant?

Newsflash:
These people are the VAST majority of gamers nowadays. Otherwise, the business model wouldn’t be so successful.

people not buying boost dont valeu their time then . or they must be ultra poor if they rahter invest like 200 hours of their life instead paying 40 euro which is like 2 hours of work if you live in developed country.

I had my first spit on yesterday, I played them my smallest violin :violin:

Another time they accidentally targetted my friend instead of me to laugh at them. He does not have the deluxe, didn’t even buy a boost, he has been levelling for many months.

I /cheer at fellow deluxe mount riders. Thought we might as well counter some of this petty behaviour with something kinder

It’s very simple to understand if you don’t play dumb.
Classic exists because a large number of people didn’t like what retail had become, how the game they loved became something they despised.

Boosts are typical of the mindset of retail, and a complete antithesis of the mindset of Classic. You get scorn because you are an example of what the people who came to Classic detests, and wanted to get away from, only to get it shoved in their face again.

Boostbuyers/goldbuyers/cosmeticbuyers are the toxic ones and then they come to the forum to cry how others are toxic?? Funny story.
