“Why Vulpera?”
I think the question should instead be, “Why not Vulpera” ?

imagine throwing shade at vulpera then suggesting ogres would be a good playable race lmao.
legit worse than diaper gnomes
UwU/
Yes they were. They were eventually shoved out of Black marsh by the Argonians until a worldwide disease finally killed them off. Now their ruins are sought after for their relics like the Akaviri by scholars.

Imagine saying this stuff as an elf. Stick to the Alliance.
Vulpera fit perfectly into the Horde in terms of way of living, philosophy and struggles. Also I love that we have Voldun representation, that’s pretty sick
Damn dolly and dot on a caravan… what a philosophy. Literally desert foxes that biologically evolved to live in a desert… damn but hear this… they walk on 2 legs now!
They’re all about surviving and crafting crucial stuff out of dry wood and lizard skin. Also nomadism. That’s the philosophy I was referring to

Might want to check the lore on that front, there’s…reasons…lots of reasons…

Damn we drank the Demonic Kool Aid, now we mental and all Waaagh! Oh now we’re not anymore. Ok…
Orc lore.
See what I did there?
You can reduce anything to the absurd if you want to.

They’re a bunch of scavenging furry gnomes.

Sorry but Blood Elves lost their stance within the Horde at the end of TBC. They’re just the race for people who want to play noble humans but on the Horde side.

Well obviously you’re the one that has to reference things outside of Warcraft to justify Vulpera while you can write 10 pages about Orcs in Warcraft.

They quite clearly did not. Also if that is all you think Elves are, you definitely need to read up on lore.

Let me just get this straight…
You’re saying that a newly introduced race, should have as much lore as one that was introduced more than two decades ago?
Is that what you are saying? They should have crammed two decades of lore into one expansion? Doesn’t that sound a bit…excessive to you?
Just own up to it. You don’t like Vulpera. Just come out and say it. No need to dance around the subject.

C’mon Brigante. Even you should agree that Blood Knights got completely ruined

Aye I don’t like Vulpera and I think Blizzard could have chosen already one of the more fleshed out races in World of Warcraft, which lays more foundation to my claim that they were added to cater towards a specific crowd.
There’s also no need to dance around that.

Yeah… but so what really? More people wanted the cool fox race and it was in higher demand at the time it was relavant to the story.
If you really wanted ogres you would have made a thread arguing your reasoning and justifaction for the ogre cause without mentioning Vulpera. as the lore and story should speak for it self as arguements shouldn’t it?
Instead you made a vulpera hate thread instead. This is more about you hating Vulpera and the players behind them as if we’re the scum of the earth because you didn’t get ogres. than you actually wanting ogres.
Edit:
Simply put… Looks more like your Vulpera hate takes priority here. Than your reasons for wanting Ogres. When most of the reasoning for why you should get Ogres is based off how much you like Vulpera less.
You can both hate Vulpera and want Ogres.
Fair enough… Not doing your self or ogres any favors with that tho :b You know people will hold you to your own logic and reasoning.
Your reasons for wanting Ogres should speak for them self. Not off why you dislike another race more. We all have races we like less in the game…
C’mon Brigante. Even you should agree that Blood Knights got completely ruined
I think they more just sent them down the Retribution line. I mean even Liadrin uses it as a battle cry “I am the Blade of the Light” Nothing about mercy or compassion, just pure retributive violence. I actually think that yeah, they did warp Blood Knights a bit, but they kind of use them to show what an absolute (redacted) a full on Retribution Paladin can be, even though obviously with most classes they wouldn’t think of themselves as ‘specs’ the way we as players do. There’s nothing kind there…they may now believe in the Light, but they still use it as a weapon, not for the greater good as it were. Sort of like full on ‘Deus Vult’ types if you see what I mean.
Aye I don’t like Vulpera and I think Blizzard could have chosen already one of the more fleshed out races in World of Warcraft,
I think, as much as some people whinge about Mechagnomes and Lightforged Draenei, Horde kind of got shafted a bit too, when it comes to Allied races.
I’ll be honest, Blizz could have done different things, that I reckon would have kept more people happy, but now we are where we are.
Personally? I’d have preferred to have seen Highmountain Tauren as a customisation. It’s essentially Tauren with Antlers, no different to applying a new hairstyle to a race.
I’d also prefer that they had just not bothered with Void Elves, they’re too clumsily implemented.
This would have freed up two racial slots. And in this, I kind of agree with you, the logical choices would have been two races with history, who have been in the factions the same amount of time, and are both constantly depicted as NPC’s of their factions, but are not playable. Both also requested for the same amount of time. And that would be High Elves on Alliance, and Ogres on Horde.
Now I don’t want to play a High Elf, if I want my Legolas fix I can play LOTRO for free, I prefer my Elves the way they were in our real world myth and legend, macabre, selfish and at times cruel, but I understand there is a big market for them.
I also don’t want to play an Ogre as they are depicted currently because with a very few exceptions, they are stupid, talk about themselves in the third person, and used as comedy relief. They’d need to flesh them out a bit more, and make them not so almost universally stupid before I would find them appealing. The Gorians were a good start, refining those could have worked. Maybe it is just because I am a roleplayer, but I don’t like the idea of a ‘stupid’ race to have to dumb down my style.
It is however, undeniable that both of those races would work.
I mean heck, I’d want to see Horde get Gnolls, but that’s just me.
They should have put High Elves in, instead of Void Elves, and Ogres in, instead of making Highmountain Tauren a separate race.
which lays more foundation to my claim that they were added to cater towards a specific crowd.
Way I see it, and yes, I find the ‘uwu’ stuff annoying, is that Vulpera are more supposed to be a kind of Bedouin culture, which is cool, desert survivalists who are merchant adventurers, or at least that is how I play mine, he’s pretty much Sinbad the Sailor.
Some people will have rolled them to be ‘cutesie’ which is missing the point of the race, but certainly on RP realms, people are playing them seriously, with none of that nonsence.
So yeah, I do think Blizzard missed a trick, but swapping Vulpera for Ogres isn’t the answer. They should have put them in instead of what could have been a Tauren customisation, and High Elves instead of Void Elves.
Why oppose Ogres and Vulpera ? Let’s just have both. I mean imagine the interactions between the two races. Stuff would be hilarious

You mean like the Humans do?
I find it funny you don’t seem to mind Blood Elves “evolving” into this state while at the same time you claim you like Blood Elves for their twisted, dare I say a bit sadistic kind of nature.
While they’re nothing more but Elves taken from Lord of the Rings at this point.

Yes and I also made a thread about that. Darkspear Trolls suddenly get to play as Dark or Sandfury Trolls, since when did these two join the Horde.
Highmountain are a lazy concept considering we have the Taunka.
Most of the subraces could’ve just been added as customizations, I agree.
Now I don’t want to play a High Elf, if I want my Legolas fix I can play LOTRO for free, I prefer my Elves the way they were in our real world myth and legend, macabre, selfish and at times cruel, but I understand there is a big market for them.
But I don’t get why you try to wave off the evolution of the Blood Elves who got rid of all those “bad things” with your previous statement towards Blood Knights.
Way I see it, and yes, I find the ‘uwu’ stuff annoying, is that Vulpera
You can’t really disagree that Blizzard specifically designed Vulpera to be this way.

Show me one, even one proof of this, npc, quest, lore or any material, where a Vulpera is portrayed that way

NPC licking you in a quest.
Or their overall design lmao.
You mean the Shimmering Shell quest where Jena hesitates a moment, then gives you a quick lick on the cheek?
Thats only proves among all the races, the Vulpera is unique ,because we actually know a racial custom or I rather say, gesture of thanks thats consists of licking the other person on the cheek
Not really suprising, cosidering they are a fox people…
Like how in Gnoll culture, laughter is important, so important, their friendly interaction with other races start after they fight with then and eventually laugh together.
The rest of your “reasons” are nothing more than the feverish ranting and frankly you should have been reported long ago for “hate-speach”
I don’t know Brigante why even bother to reply to you and explain things, because clearly, you are grasping so tightly your idea about vulpera, a tactical nuke wouldn’t be enough to loosen your grip… so reason and common sense?
Just a waste of time
As for my part
