I got to 60 a couple of weeks ago, almost got my full pre-raid bis and I’ve been doing MC, Ony and BWL runs with my guild.
I probably play like 14-16~ hours per week or something (if that, like a couple of hours per day including raids).
Do we think Naxxramas will be Puggable/cleared by casual guilds by the time TBC comes out?
It might be cleared by casual guilds eventually yes and even PUGs that vet their members at least a little, but if someone is so casual they hardly even do MC they wouldn’t last long at all in Naxx, it kinda requires the previous gearing up first.
Lot of casual guild are struggling to clear BWL. I know some player that had more than 40 attempt on Vael and can’t do it because of bad healing and bad tanks. Same for Firemaw.
I think some casual guild will be stuck in AQ40/Naxxramas, doing only a few boss and progress very very slowly, or disband. If your tank and healer, the most important role, are not decent players, no point you’ll clear it.
AQ40 and Naxxramas in pug is impossible unless you are cherry-picking 40 very good players who have the gear and consumables. If you do it with a random pugs, it’s a wipe fest.
Okay so the raids do certainly get progressively more difficult? Obviously BWL is harder than it’s counterparts as it’s the ‘latest’ of the three, but it’s very surprising people are clearing it so soon, which actually gives me some hope that non-hardcore players will eventually be able to clear the more difficult raids like AQ and Naxx. Will be very interesting to find out.
Chances are minimal for casual players to clear naxx. It will depend alot on the skill level of the casual players, and if they have been able to farm enough gear from the previous raids.
Naxxramas have quite a few mechanics to learn, especially the later bosses. But the hardest part of it will be to have enough gear.
A decent indicator is if the guild can kill C’thun before the release of naxxramas. If you are able to do that, you have enough skill as a raidgroup to beat the mechanics inside naxxramas. Then it rests entierly on if you have a well enough geared raid / proper raid setup.
For pug groups to do it, well you need a very good raidleader, and pick people you know are capable, random people in lfg chat will 9/10 times not cut it.

14-16 hours a week are more than enough. u can raid log and play like 5 hours a week clearing all raids later on.
has tbc been confirmed? classic is pretty special, TBC is a bad expansion, BFA is only worse due to the loot & azerite systems in place there. Anyway Naxxramas was pugged on private servers, it will be here too.
I have heard everyone who raids in classic is prave server try hard as reasoning why so many killed it and at same time they are not but gamer dads.
So from classic player mouth ye everyone who can manage press frostbolt will clear classic.

How about us healers? Can you talk a little about how easy it is to heal classic raids? Or tank. Or maybe, feral dps hybrid tank/healer? Stuff like that.
Depends how much of the casual playerbase is still around by the time Naxx hits.

All the casuals guilds struggle or spend 2-3 raiding days clearing it.
And bwl is not hard compared to aq and naxx.
That’s been said, if you know what to do, basic stuff. Then it ain’t going to be hard.
There certain tank and span fights.
And we can agree that the abilities are encounters ain’t hard.
But the major issue is threat and not available to taunt. (and ppl fail that) - and here they fail, because u gotta at least know the basic - which is long gone from most cata + players, but having good leaders/teachers won’t make it hard.
