I do not fully understand the system… If you are the person to grind the most honor every week when would you get rank 14? The first reset, afther 14 resets or is the decay making it so it will take a couple of months anyway… if so does that mean you can play less in the first week and match your playtime with your rank?

That is true. For lower ranks more people can hold that rank at the same time. This means you can play less and still get it. It gets progressively harder since more people compete for fewer spots.
3 weeks should be necessary to go from rank 13 to 14 alone, let alone all the previous ranks.
Honor is gained on a weekly basis, after the first week you gain it, so at week 2 the first people will have a rank. You can gain ranks 1, 2 and 3 in the second week, and after that its one rank higher maximum per week. Each rank also has a minimum honor cap, so people will fall off eventually till all the ranks are filled. If not all ranks are filled, ONE CANNOT progress to a higher rank, even if he / she would have gained enough honor.
So:
Week 1 -> rank 0
Week 2 -> Rank 3
Week 3 -> Rank 4
Week 4 -> Rank 5
Week 5 -> Rank 6
Week 6 -> Rank 7
Week 7 -> Rank 8
Week 8 -> Rank 9
Week 9 -> Rank 10
Week 10 -> Rank 11
Week 11 -> Rank 12
Week 12 -> Rank 13
Week 13 -> Rank 14

I woulndt be hugely surprised if theres some “bug” streamers get to exploit and is fixed only after they get their rank stuff…

Ranks are gained weekly so it’s impossible for someone to get to 14 in a week.
I feel so, so sorry for Gehennas Horde, you guys are gonna have a rough time.

My plan is to kill hordes on sight and do some pvp farming in groups. Any rank i reach will be enough, would be nice to get at least the blue pvp item set!
Not able to skip ranks, i did skip a rank back in the day. I’m not quite sure whether it was Stone Guard or Blood Guard but i think the latter.
I do remember clearly that i was surprised that i skipped a rank, i said it out loud to my (ex)b/f who wasn’t to happy because he had a lower rank. I must say however that at that time i was able to play a horrible amount of pvp.
There won’t be a single R14 in p2.
You can still feel awesome week 1 by getting 1st in faction standing

The last rank High Warlord requires at least 80 hours per week of dedicated play, during which hours you are supposed to win a large % of the bg’s attended.

This is how one’s rank would look at the end of each week, assuming the maximum amount of RP is earned:
Week 1: rank 4
Week 2: rank 6
Week 3: rank 8
Week 4: rank 9
Week 5: rank 10
Week 6: rank 11
Week 7: rank 12
Week 8: rank 12
Week 9: rank 13
Week 10: rank 13
Week 11: rank 13
Week 12: rank 14

The system is not that complicated.
Kill targets -> gain honour.
End of week honour -> dictates your bracket.
Bracket -> gain Rank points. But rank points decay every week.
Rank points -> dictates your rank.

Either way it doesn’t really matter, since the first 6-12 months will be dominated by streamers using various exploits to get rank 14. Just like they did with the other firsts of Classic.
Only 80h? I was clocking 110-120h a week during my Grand Marshal push.
