Will you return to era?

How many of you who currently play on anniversary realms planning to return to era once fresh is over? Especially if blizzard will give choice to copy characters to era (which I think they will just like with season of mastery which also had few different changes compared to era and like during end of original 2019 launch).

I myself will definitely play some BG’s in era from time to time.

Personally I’m hoping anniversary goes to Lich after BC. I missed BC last time round so actually looking foward to it :slightly_smiling_face:

Either going Era or cancelling my sub.
Didn’t like TBC last time, won’t like it this time, but this time I know.

No way anniversary can survive till tbc. If only bots can completely replace human popluation and go to raids/dungeons aswell.

Still playing era and not fresh, so surely I’ll stay for the long run

I would definitely move my character to ERA and continue playing it, if they allow us to transfer.

I think as well that transfers are gonna happen plus an option to copy. Gotta get that copy money if I were blizz.

Gonna move to TBC. Era doesn’t have an appeal to me.

I’ll likely do what ever my guild do as they’re the driving force for why I play.

Let’s hope blizz give chance to copy character in Era and also move it to TBC. If that happens i ll play both. If both is not allowed i ll pick era, not interested in TBC but can try if possible.

I never left Era together with many others, so we will be awaiting all those who decide to come back home.

When TBC came out I was disgusted with the implementation of character boost and mount sale so I decided to stay in the ERE, PvE.

In that time, we had around 50-100 people on the server in 2 guilds on the Alliance side. They were fighting between people, recruiting, they were rivaling instead of collaborating.

I played for a bit, and things went worse, I decided to step out and play retail for a bit. But since the retail is not my jam, I moved back to Classic but this time around on the Horde side. After few weeks of playing I realized that the guild from the Alliance side moved to Horde and they were doing similar stuff as they did before, so that killed my vibe to play.

Classic is my favorite version of the game, I started to play it in 2019 and instantly felt in love. I love the slower pace of it and the learning curve is way better then in the retail. When they announced the Anniversary Fresh, I was so excited that can’t describe you. Instantly made a character and playing since the first day. I really hope they will allow us to transfer/copy our characters to ERA, but this time, I will move to PvP server to avoid the experience I had back in the day.

Sorry for tagging you, and for the longer post, but I had to write this when I saw that you’re playing since ERA started. I would, as well if the things were not like it were.

Era will boom when aniversary is over imo (like when tbc ended first time). Im still playing there and a lot of raids are going on.

I would play Era if they bring dual spec to Era, that’s the only change I’d ask for, and I’m set
having to pay a crap ton of gold every time I want to do pvp just to get a dm from a guildie asking to go dungeons or raids would drive me insane

I’m going to hold up my hands and admit something.

I really wanted fresh and I was SO happy when it got announced, but I got to only about Level 25 before thinking “What the heck am I doing this again for?”.

I think no RP or RP-PVP server was a REAL big stinker to me. Not even one. SoD had both. Yes, they were abandoned, but that was a seasonal server and surely the answer was to at least give us the RP-PVP one.

But people who like to RP or at least play on realms with other RP names don’t matter to Blizzard.

Big no-no unfortunately. I understand the desire, but as I always say, Blizzard doesn’t seem to be able to stop implementing changes once they start…

Interestingly enough, a big chunk of the early Era population came from the Zandalar Tribe RPPvP server, which must have been an insane server to play in during the Classic re-release. Had I known the amount of cool cats that played there back in the day, I would 100% have rolled in it. Best crew I have encountered, ever.

More of this man, please! These forums are mostly filled with people whining or asking for stuff. A bit of individual story and experience is great. The Firemaw cluster (PvP) had a different development than the one you describe. But to be honest, the 6 months prior to Anniversary, the PvE cluster was in a pretty sweet spot in terms of community and raiding. It all comes and goes!

Era = boosting and gdkp raids only. Doesn’t sound tempting at all

I’m going to play vanilla, then TBC, then possibly WotLK. If WotLK will not happen, I’ll think about staying on TBC or starting over in Era. I know very little about vanilla and TBC so can’t decide yet.

Blizzard promised us to keep era as sort of a “museum”, as close to the classic experience it can get. QoL changes such as dual spec have no place in era. The beauty of classic is how quirky it is, how unpolished and unbalanced it is. Streamlining it to cater to an audience wanting more QoL would take away a major part of what makes it so fun to play

But Classic is far from Vanilla. It has received so many changes already. If one was to perceive the original experience with no changes you‘d have to play somewhere else on an older client.

So dunno how much Classic can be a museum piece.

You are right, but keeping it free of any more changes is indeed a good thing. Implementing stuff from future expansions such as dual spec just takes it further away from what classic is meant to be.
