This is absolute comedy gold. Thank you for making my day.
The whole situation started as a neutral dungeon pug run. I did not say any single offensive or personal thing to any group member. Neither did i ninja anything as nothing i needed dropped. The dilemma started as you randomly said how everyone in my guild is a dick and i agreed that yeah sometimes some people here are. Then after a long discussion where i again did not say anything personal or offensive to you or any other group member you started to get personal and really fuming. I suggest to close the game for a week and use it to watch some anger management videos and guides on how to play and improve at the game. Cheers.

I would have thought that was obvious. It is also, however, irrelevant. As has already been noted, there is already an official, global channel to look for a group in.

My apologies everyone. I thought /lookingforgroup was a player created channel. I am pretty sure I had to /join it and i was not in it by default…

Sorry I thought that /join was to join custom channels. didn’t know LFG was official.

OP needs to stop whining then aha. I thought both /world and /lookingforgroup were player run.

Not sure if in mine it’s still ongoing but in some realms people have been using literally LFG because it’s easier to type and then get mad when someone takes control of it. Pretty much like this World, it would seem.

Just FYI then, you can also /leave and /join general, trade and localdefense.

Nobody can “take control” of LFG. LFG is an official Blizzard-created channel, just like General.

LookingForGroup is, LFG isn’t.

Kyph means “LFG” not “LookingForGroup”. Only the latter is a protected channel.

Yeah, someone had his share of fun creating “LFG” (sic!) channel.

Channel names are case sensitive
LookingForGroup is the protected channel name. Capital F and G.

That by the way is not like it was in vanilla. 1.12 channels are case insensitive

You really have only provided proof you were banned from the world chat…
You seem like a real hot-head.
What gives you the right to rage at someone?
What gives you the right to be in any private chat?
No matter how entiteled you feel to be in the world chat, the owner is not you.
You do not proove why it happened or who banned you…
You did however do naming and shaming.
So do not worry, the chat ban will seem insignificant when you get banned. :slight_smile:
And lets say a guild did take control over the chat, banning people left and right and generally being asshats… guess what?
The community would just use a different chat and ignore the beforementioned guild.
