Perhaps if they stopped making majority of the end game content queue/lobby based and put some real sand in the box this would no longer be an issue.

I´m admittedly not a huge fan of SL, but I agree that all teh blanket hate is just laughable… The raids were great, the problems were the sotry feeling convoluted, forced torghast runs, and that we initially couldn´t freely switch covenants, and the latter 2 are no longer relevant.
Play thourgh it today in Chromietime with an open Mind and it actually isn´t half bad. And the story, while still a bit convoluted, isn´t nearly as disjointed as BFA and Legion were by offering a choice of which zone to play first. 
Thays bc ppl are either afk in long que or theyre doimg somthimg when it pings.
I k ow for my own xp that im somtimes listing items in ah when the que pings on me so i somtimes decline it so i can finish what i was doing. Other times i might go makeva coffee and it procs so i miss it others im watching netflix and procs i dont hear it bc of different screens etc.
So as you can see there are a few reasons why declines happen.
It is rightfully hated.

Exactly this, I don’t want to have to log in then have to go round gathering players just so I can hop in a BG, sometimes I want to jump in a game then have a break, sometimes I want to play a few then have a break, I don’t want to have to schedule that around other players, it’s was never necessary in all my years of playing the game unless I was raiding. My main fun on this game was BG’s, I just want to log in, press enter and encounter different people every time, not the same old faces every single game but it has become literally pointless even bothering these days. It’s all queue syncers and toxic communities and if you get 1 half decent game in 10 then you have been very lucky.

My personal favorite expansions are Mists of Pandaria, Battle for Azeroth, and Cataclysm, yet the general public has completely different opinions.
Shadowlands was, is, and always will be hated. Every time Blizzard addresses the community, the first thing they need to say is, “Sorry for Shadowlands”.

the declines in pvp blitz bg are happening because of that queue crap addon that some people are using to cheat .

Been playing for many years and years passing by, old days you made friends that you play with, join a guild that you hade some fun with for some time then they after a time start to splitt up again and again. The friends you played with start stop play wow and the game today have become a more midmaxing logg game. If you dont have thd logs or have the number on you, you getting nothing. Find friends today is a stuggle it self of the mid maxing guilds. The M+ with key kill most of the fun no one want to play with other then they jave play with before, playing with pugs is a 50/50 gambling if you make it you self, try join a pug you need the numbers.
It whas much easyer before than its today to make the friends. Now days i just playing solo, collecting transmog, mounts, pet so on, doing delvs, solo dungeon.
Just hope blizzard can gett in more solo content for heroic dungeon , raids, there no time when working and have a kid to gett in to a guild and gett friends and join a m+ or fitt a raid time in as you need to stop when kid need your atantion.
