World of Peacecraft

No that’s not what I said. I meant convincing you of this makes no sense. Why would I try to force this upon you?

Agreed with rest.

Peace is for pussies. (i mean female cats ;p)

We can talk cross faction though.

Just because system, overall allows it, doesn’t mean that game should do it as well and destroy fantasy in the process.

Actually in lore we could always talk to each other… That’s why neutral NPCs work without a translator. And as a Forsaken you should find it especially strange that understanding common is beyond you, without alchemical help.

We can argue about the gameplay merits of hindering faction communication, but that’s not really talking about the “fantasy” now, is it?

Their brain took huge damage during their transformation, which is the reason why their common language degenerated to something own.

But we can do it. The devs gave us the item which enables cross faction communication.

That’s not really how it was sold, no. Also, that wouldn’t explain how they learned orcish after their brain damage. Indeed, the idea behind common was that it was…well, common. Everywhere. Orcish on the other hand is explicitly from another world.

Zug zug and unga bunga don’t require a big brain to learn it.

Well, if that was the case, it would be strange that the Alliance hadn’t picked it up after 3 decades.

The alliance don’t speak lesser languages.

Actually, Gutterspeak was a dialect of common which pre-dates the Forsaken. Its just a dialect, not a different language at all.

Reminder that Forsaken spoke Common in the very early days of WoW and Gutterspeak is nothing but a mechanic to prevent Undead players from meting out justice to unsuspecting Alliance toons.

Ah, the good ol days.

There were no blood elves - truly a blessed time in WoW’s history.

You were Alliance back then, heretic.

Yeah, indeed instead of 50 % elves you now have 50 % undead running around.

We all make mistakes.

I know, becoming a belflet is a tragic mistake. It is good you accept this.

Actually, the only blood elf group we have in classic was busy seducing and betraying the orcs in Azshara.

" Betraying, thieving woman! That’s what I call her–that’s all she’ll ever be!

I may have made a grave mistake, <name>. I trusted a blood elf. What’s worse, I trusted a woman!

She claimed Azshara would hold great riches… powerful items. I simply send some warriors with her to protect her and I would be rewarded. Well, look who’s the fool–she’s killed them all.

I want vengeance, <name>, but I can’t afford to send anyone else. Find Ag’tor at Valormok, north of the Haldarr Encampment. He’ll tell you more."

" Ah, Belgrom wizened up and finally sent someone not in his ranks to aid us, did he?

This camp used to be a dozen warriors strong, <name>, but now they’re all dead. That mage, Rimtori, has slain them all. She played Belgrom like a lute… seduced him even. It’s none of my business, but between you and I, she is quite the temptress. That’s probably why I’m still out here helping Belgrom–I probably would have done the same thing."

Just elves being elves.

And then there’s the friendly Blood Elf that is sitting in Sun Rock Retreat and being all nice and friendly to Horde players.

A proper Horde race if I do say so myself. Loyal from the very beginning.
