It is really taking to long that either Apple or Blizzard comes with a solution. I cant do M+, raids etc so i’m missing out alot of content.
I’ve tried the solution on the other US forum but didn’t work for me. Waiting for Blizzard to come with a good solution because before Sonoma it worked flawless.

FiX it … wow classic is like 20 years old game…
I mean it’s really about time to issue a hotfix… It’s ridiculous that an established game developer as Blizzard doesn’t have developers and tech specialist to fix an issue like this. Or contact Apple for help

Partner been in hospital so not played together for two weeks. SURELY it won’t be crashing on Sonoma all the time like before, we think. Sit down to play, one hour later BANG kernel panic on partner’s machine running Sonoma. This is an outrageous amount of time for something this deal breaking to persists. FIX IT!

I think we should assume fix is NOT coming and either get used to crashes or stop playing…

Like this is really f**** up on all levels. It’s been three months and not a single update for the issue. Refund my money from my subscription - this is breach of contract, as this is UNPLAYABLE

I have noticed that if you restart your game frequently (every few minutes) it’s less likely to crash. Hope this helps.
I updated to MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 (23C71) yesterday. From that moment freezing appeared. It takes few seconds up to 10 minutes in game to freeze. Based on the sound game is still working (movement, map and interface) after freezing but visual keeps frozen or shaking as a picture. Reinstalling the game or removing addons did not help.
I’ve already posted here about ongoing issues with crashes. After a few weeks off (because crashing was driving us crazy) me and my partner booted up WoW again a couple of days ago. Her Mac running Sonama froze in the first five minutes of playing WoW, hard reboot of system required. We relaunched, managed to go for another hour. Froze again.
We stopped playing. Ultimately, and for the first time in a very long time, we really don’t think we’re getting our money’s worth. Perhaps we should just think about stopping altogether at this rate.
Blizzard, you’re going to get some kind of Reddit-style retribution at this rate. Please, please at least tell us what is going on.

It has been crashing since I upgraded to Sonoma, I’m too sick from this game, it freezes mid dungeons and forces a complete shutdown. Dispelling addons doesn’t solve the issue, it’s an issue with transmitting the data between the Ram bus, with my very weak understanding of programming I can understand the issue from the Mac logs. Can’t you with a whole team and monthly subscriptions from hundreds of Mac users, solve it for 3 months now! that’s upsetting!

It happens to me as well.

I agree, I cancelled my sub just 2 days after paying for it. Such a shame, I really miss playing.

I have this kind of issue too on MacBook Pro 2021 M1 16GB RAM. It seems to me that there are some specific reasons for it: the game works perfectly fine until you stumble into something. Sometimes it takes hours, sometimes it happens right after you choose a character (well after first crash it is usual that you will experience it right away again). If I can teleport out during these few seconds or free myself through support section (usually this), the game continues to work fine. It is just unnerving to have this if you are wandering in the open world, not unplayable, but in dungeons/raids this is a straight up auto ruin.
There is at least one particular place that causes the game to crash no matter what – Stormshroud Peak in Thaldraszus. Want to gather herbs/minerals there? Nope. Some quest? Not a chance. Just flying somewhere else and accidentally flew over this spot? Your mistake I guess, now you are stuck in the air unless you free yourself using support.
Considering Blizzard’s post about memory leaks, I think there is something that causes an overflow, after that either your machine has a kernel panic or the game process is terminated. As people said here, it happens kind of randomly: in dungeons, in capitals, in completely desolate places and so on; iirc at least it hasn’t happened to me during raids (yet).

Has anyone tried the 14.3 update to see if that changes anything?

Doesn’t fix the issue. The crashes still happens

I think you are right in terms of memory leaks - it would appear it’s a kernel panic when reviewing my logs.

Moving to a windowed mode solved the issue with the crash-upon-launch.
